I am a wild one, break me in, saddle me up and let's begin. I am a wild one, tame me now. Running with wolves and I'm on the prowl.
Tatum walked through the district, ignoring the stares that came her way. She was used to it, mostly. After spending ten years as a victor and eight of those years being out in the public eye doing not-so victor-like things, she had come to not care about people watching her. She also knew that they were too scared to actually act on seeing her do things they wouldn't approve of. After winning the Games, she had come back to the district and heard the names that they called her. Her favorite was Silent Killer because it was still one she was called. It caused people to fear her and to not want to cross her. Which was very beneficial when she wanted things that weren't so legal in obtaining.
The brunette made her way down to Fuse, following the directions that she had received from her dealer to where he would be located. After one of her most recent escapades, she found herself being in need of a new bed frame. But she didn't want any ordinary bed frame. She wanted the nicest bed frame that Panem had, and to get that she needed to get creative. So she enlisted the help of a trader who was known for being able to get everything and anything. She hadn't given him the details of why she needed the bed, but she had been extremely grateful that he had accepted it. Of course, she knew that he had a price and she would be willing to pay it as soon as the bed was put together in her room and wasn't a piece of junk.
She reached the stall that she was to be picking up the frame and smirked as she saw a man at the stall. He was attractive, just her type. Well, what would have been her type if she wasn't attracted to anything that had two legs. She walked up to the stall and continued to look at the man who had yet to notice her appearance. She cocked her head to the right as she watched him move, imagining how his muscles had to be flexing in some way. She coughed once to finally announce her arrival before giving him another smirk. "I'm here to pick up an item. A lovely bed frame to replace my broken one. Perhaps you might be able to help me with that. Acquiring it, and testing it out to make sure I've gotten my money's worth of it, of course. Don't need another frame breaking on me as soon as I buy it. I'm sure you understand and would be willing to help a girl out."

"How much for that?" a frail, fidgety woman asked, pointing to the bed frame that leaned against the back of Aiden's stall. Aiden glanced back at it, the four solid pieces of which were kept back from the morning sun and out of the normal view of his wares. There were dozens of items laid out on Aiden's tables, or larger items displayed out next to them, but this tiny woman who kept turning over her own hands had spied the one visible thing she couldn't have. He wouldn't have brought it to The Fuse today except that its intended owner was stopping by to pick it up.
"Not for sale, I'm afraid," Aiden returned with an exaggerated sigh, then flashed a smile. "But if it was, quality furniture isn't the easiest to acquire in this market. It won't be cheap." Much of what Aiden got in the way of furniture had to be from District 7, of course, and it wasn't cheap to make items intended for the Capitol find their way into District 5. The woman sighed and nodded, looking at the rest of Aiden's wares in a way he could tell she was disappointed. He might be able to sell her something else - he could sell almost anyone anything - but she was wealthier than she was trying to have him believe. She didn't want to let it on just yet, but he could see it in the rich fabric of the shirt partially concealed by her jacket, in the earring mostly covered by her hair and the shoes that looked barely used. She might have a shot at the next tier down of goods, those meant for victors, so that was the best angle to go with. "But I know a few people, Mrs. Tyren, and I can see you're a good woman. Let's see what we can do, shall we?"
Aiden was just nearing the end of the negotiation with Mrs. Tyren about her new writing desk when he heard a cough to his left. Tatum Netherwood stood before him, a smirk on her face and a suggestive curve to her body. Some people in District 5 were afraid of the victor, but Aiden was't one of them. In his line of work, he encountered people from every end of the spectrum, from little baby angels to guys who kills for fun on the side. Not everyone was honest or good, but when it came to needing something, Aiden was their medium. He'd built his reputation over time, and those who had attempted to double cross him had paid the proper price. Most people knew better than to try at this point. So when Tatum approached him about a bed frame, he had accepted the task without hesitation.
Aiden grinned as he listened to her, while next to him, Mrs. Tyren's mouth had fallen open and she'd taken a step back. "I'd be honored," he returned, then glanced back to his previous customer. If he said anymore back to Tatum's introduction, he was sure to scare Mrs. Tyren off. Coming around his table, he took one of Mrs. Tyren's tiny hands in his. "I'll contact you when it's ready, now you just find that perfect spot for it." He smiled and held his other hand out to her in gentle suggestion. Mrs. Tyren gave a soft smile - because who couldn't smile when Aiden looked at them like that? - and dropped a few coins into Aiden's open palm. He glanced at him, making a very quick count before slipping them into his pocket. Then he kissed the back of her hand and let her go. "Until next time," he said, and she almost sighed as she reluctantly walked away from him.
Aiden turned his full attention now to Tatum. It was a rare woman that was so forthright about exactly what she wanted, and from what he'd heard, Tatum was all kinds of rare woman. He liked the challenge, and the change. He wondered what kind of dirt Ava had on the girl, if there was even anything Tatum was ashamed of. He didn't think those secrets would come free, even from her, but it was interesting to imagine what she might say if he asked about the victor. He knew enough about her though, and he could use a little midday distraction. He'd had a thought earlier of surprising Ava later today with one of the newest bottles of wine Volt had acquired just this morning, but he was glad to be saved from that temporary insanity. That wasn't the kind of thing that business partners who slept together did.
"Now, back to that bed frame," Aiden said, taking a step toward Tatum. "I do like to make sure my clients always get their money's worth." He glanced back to his stall. "Circuit, Junior, get the frame," he said, and two kids came out from the shadows to obey. Circuit was tiny, only ten years old with the most vivid green eyes, but he was stronger than he looked. Junior, on the other hand, was tall and bulky, almost eighteen. He was as strong as an ox, and about as smart as one too. Junior heaved the baseboard up onto one shoulder while Circuit grabbed the side rails. Aiden motioned the younger boy over, taking the side rails from the kid, and Circuit went back to help Junior with the heavy headboard. "Any scratches come out of your pocket and hide, understand?" Both boys nodded seriously. "Electra, you've got the shop. Take care of her for me, girl." A fifteen-year-old girl with blonde hair to her waist nodded, her face hard and even. "And smile, for Snow's sake, would ya?" The corners of her lips twitched upward a bit, and Aiden figured that's the best she would do. She drove a good bargain and wouldn't be alone, so he wasn't worried about her.
With the side rails securely under his right arm, Aiden turned back to Tatum and indicated toward the busy black market's exit. "Lead on, Miss Netherwood."

Tatum couldn't help the smirk that widened on her lips as she took note of the older woman's reaction, knowing that Aiden's reaction was exactly what she had been looking for. She was about to respond to his comment before he turned, and that left her slack-jawed for a moment before she closed her mouth. It wasn't often that someone accepted her advances and then was so quick to also dismiss them. But she understood that this woman was another customer for him, and with the loss of her business meant a loss of money. Not that Tatum knew anything about that, but she could understand why it would be important to not lose money. Especially when the Capitol wasn't paying for almost everything that one's heart desired. She knew she had it better than ninety-five percent of the district, but she couldn't help it. She had worked hard in the Games to win, so obviously she deserved what the Capitol was providing her with.
The brunette gave a flirtatious smile as she cocked her head to the side, watching the man that she had just made an advance towards. The victor figured that there was no point in holding back. How could one ever get everything that they could ever dream of having if they held back with saying exactly what they wanted? Tatum had nothing to feel ashamed of or anything that she regretted. Well, she had a few regrets, but they were all people that she wished she had made a move on and ultimately didn't. Those were her regrets: not having more conquests on her list. Each person she was with taught her something new and was an experience, so she regretted not getting a well-rounded education.
She straightened her posture as Aiden moved closer to her. She smirked and nodded her head in response to his statement. "Of course you do. It's what makes you such a great businessman. That and you're obviously willing to go above and beyond for all of your customers." She ran her fingertips up Aiden's arm before leaning in and going on her toes to whisper in his ear, "And maybe even willing to go under for a customer." She pulled back from him as she watched the younger men come and start lifting the various parts of her bed. She gave them a tight-lipped smile before looking at the girl who Aiden had called Electra. She waved slightly to her before smirking as Aiden told her to lead on. She turned on her heels and started making her way towards the Victor's Village.
As she walked on, she kept an even pace with Aiden and the boys, to keep an eye on that nothing happened to her precious bed frame but also to make sure that Aiden didn't lose interest in her proposition that she had been so very serious about. When they arrived to the house, she swung the door open and pointed to the grand staircase that stood in front of them. "The bedroom is up the stairs, to the right and down the hall on the left." She then looked Aiden up and down one last time before sighing contentedly. "Not that you'll need to know that to get out. You might not want to leave by the time we're finished here." She smirked before turning and going towards her kitchen. "If you boys need anything to drink, feel free to yell for me. I'll be pouring myself a nice glass of scotch if you need any assistance." She stopped and turned to look at Aiden once more with a smirk while adding, "And I do mean any assistance," before winking and turning to go get herself that drink she had just mentioned.

Aiden enjoyed the feeling of Tatum running her fingers along his arm, flirting openly with him. He liked a woman who knew what she wanted, and Tatum Netherwood certainly seemed to fit that bill. She leaned forward to whisper in his ear and he smirked. "I'm sure we can come to an agreement," he replied in a low voice. He had an open mind, and there were perks to the business he was in. No, not every female customer was like the victor in front of him, and most transactions were entirely platonic, but he certainly didn't mind when things took a turn like this. Aiden had often mixed business and pleasure, but was able to keep them separate where it counted.
Aiden and the boys followed Tatum through The Fuse, although the victor kept alongside them most of the way. He didn't mind. Junior would use every opportunity he could to stare at the woman as they walked and the boy's thoughts were evident enough to Aiden. Ah, the boy could dream, but it would require time and a few more brain cells for the boy to get close to someone like her. The Fuse was busy, so conversation along its paths would have been difficult. Once they were out of the black market, the victor's village wasn't far away. Although he hadn't been around when The Fuse was created, Aiden was sure that its proximity to the victor's village was intentional. Victors were some of the market's best customers, and it wasn't surprising. They were more likely to have the money needed to acquire special items, and they were often spoiled by Capitol visits into having expensive taste. Tatum wasn't his first victor client, and she certainly wouldn't be the last.
Aiden couldn't claim to have entered a victor's house before, though, and the initial step into Tatum's house was not a disappointment. He did well enough for himself. The place he lived in was nicer than many in the district, but his tastes as far as material goods were simple. Even if they weren't, the first glimpse into this house made it obvious that she was beyond his own income level. Circuit openly gawked as they carried in the bed, his small eyes darting around to every corner of the entryway. Aiden would have to keep an eye on the boy while they were here; Circuit tended to have sticky fingers. It's what made him a good asset to Aiden most of the time, but what could easily lead them into trouble in certain situations.
"Your hospitality is greatly appreciated, Miss Netherwood," Aiden replied to Tatum's offers. "I assure you I won't let it go to waste." He watched her make her way toward another part of the house, turn back, and then continue on. He watched her both because he enjoyed the view and because he knew she wanted him to. Even if he didn't reciprocate any attraction - which he did - it was bad business to deny a customer anything if you could avoid it. He could charm his way out of a proposition if he needed to, and had on several occasions with women who were too old or stupid, or the occasional man. He knew enough about making it seem like he was interested just enough to keep their interest, but not so much as to have to do anything he didn't want to. Today though, he intended to welcome this distraction.
Tatum seemed to have mostly ignored the two boys, which was for the best, and he was hoping they both understood their role here. After she left, he directed them up the path she had indicated. As soon as they were in the bedroom, Circuit exploded into chatter. Aiden just listened as the three of them worked, letting Junior take the majority of the younger kid's questions. Circuit wanted to know about the house, about Tatum, about the things she'd said, about how much this or that was worth, about whether or not this was Aiden's life every day. Circuit was still new and had a lot to learn, whereas Junior had been with him a while now. Junior was more than willing to talk about the victor downstairs, but as the for rest, he mostly gave short responses or told Circuit to shut his big mouth and keep working. When he asked what Tatum had meant by "testing out" the new bed, Junior made a rather lewd gesture with his hands. Confused, Circuit looked to Aiden, who chuckled. "It's nothing you need to worry about," he replied, tightening the final screw. He stood, pushing back his brown hair. "Now put the lighter back on the desk, and the two of you head back to the stall. Electra has it until I get back, so do whatever she says." Junior made the gesture at Circuit again, raising his eyebrows suggestively. Aiden shook his head. "Get out of here, you two, and remember that kid's half your age, Junior."
The boys went and Aiden followed them down, turning in the direction Tatum had gone instead of following them out. When he came to the room she was in, he leaned casually against the doorframe. "We're all done with the bed," he informed her. He swept his arm back the way he'd come. "Shall we see if it's everything you hoped it would be?"

Tatum had always been the sort of woman who knew exactly what she wanted and how to go about getting it. Ever since she had participated in the Games, it seemed as if most of what she wanted simply just landed in her fingertips. With being a victor, she knew that there was some sort of power that came with it. While most people didn't necessarily respect her, they did know to not cross her and to make sure that she was given exactly what she wanted. She wasn't shy when it came to making her wants, needs, and desires known. She had made that very clear with Aiden as soon as she saw him at the Fuse. Her interests were very limited, primarily only having three interests in sex, alcohol, and partying. Sure, she had the occasional interest that went past a one-night stand and proceeded to a more casual relationship, but that was rare and far between.
What she needed, and what she was hoping Aiden would be able to provide, was a quick release of pent-up energy. If he was any good, she could always find a way to make him an offer that he couldn't refuse. She knew his business, and she knew her taste in items. She could easily spend more of the Capitol's money on frivolous items that she didn't need in order to entice him back. She knew that he was a good businessman, and she was very persuasive when it came to getting what she wanted. She smirked to herself as she thought about just how easily it had been to get him to flirt back with her, even with people around. She brought the glass of scotch that she had poured to her lips, taking a nice long swig before setting it back down and topping it off again. She heard her front door open and close, her smirk returning to her face as she turned so that she wouldn't be able to see Aiden as he walked in. She took her glass and finished off her drink in a quick motion before turning back to face him as he spoke. She gave him a devilish grin before holding up one finger. "One second. I need to grab some sheets for the bed. Gives it the full effect," she said before turning and walking to the laundry room that was in the next room. She looked back at him before bending down to pick up the laundry basket with the sheets in it and slowly making her way back to a standing position before tossing her hair over her shoulder. "Now let's go look at that bed."
She made her way past him and up the stairs, occasionally looking back to make certain that Aiden was still close behind. When she reached her room, she grinned in delight at the put-together bed, nodding in approval. "The frame itself looks absolutely gorgeous," she commented before walking over to the mattress. She started putting the sheets on the bed, shaking it every now and again and smirking at its movements. "Seems to be fairly sturdy," she said as she finished putting the sheets on it. She then looked at Aiden with a smirk before walking over to him, her arms moving to wrap themselves around his neck as she pressed herself against him. "But I'm sure you would completely understand if I asked you to help me make sure that it's as sturdy as it seems. I need it to be perfectly sound for all of my activities," she purred before leaning up and pressing a light kiss to his ear, continuing to kiss down and along his jawline before stopping and hovering over his lips. "What's a girl got to do to get a reaction out of you?"

Aiden didn't mind the show Tatum was giving him. It hadn't surprised him when she'd come onto him, and he hadn't minded the attention. From some, he did. He played fast and loose with some boundaries, but if he didn't want to do something, he'd find a clever way not to. He could have kept Tatum's future business and turned down her advances, but he saw no reason to. He hadn't slept with anyone since Ava, and it would do him some good to get that girl out of his mind. So he paid Tatum the attention she wanted to be paid, smirked at her as she passed him on her way up the stairs, and followed her up.
"Stalis is the best there is," Aiden replied to her comment about the bedframe's beauty, referring to the crafter. Getting a Stalis frame was harder than the others, but he figured for a victor like Tatum, she would want only the best. Tatum started making the bed, and with a different person, Aiden might have helped. As it was, he expected that she wanted him to watch and wait. It would have been very... homey to help, and he rather enjoyed the seduction. There were perks to his position, one of which was getting him into situations like this. When she was done, Tatum walked over to him and put her arms around his neck. He returned the gesture by putting his hands on her waist, pulling their hips closer together.
"Of course," he replied with a hint of a smirk, then arched his neck just a little as she started to kiss down it. No, not subtle at all this girl. When she paused her kisses to ask him a question, he answered not with words, but with action. Aiden closed the distance between their lips not gently, but with a kind of force. It was as if her question had released him from the walls built around their little game, and he kissed her hungrily. One of his hands bunched in her hair, the other still pulling her waist against his. In that moment with a new girl, a first time with so many unknowns ahead, it was easy to get lost in the moment and think of nothing else.
Aiden paused the kiss briefly to lift her, then kissed her again as he walked the few steps to the bed. He lay her on it and crawled over her, lifting his own shirt over his head before kissing her again. There was no need to be gentle, sweet, or romantic. Getting attached wasn't what this was about, and he'd always kept his distanced from his bed partners. It wasn't about testing the merchandise either, of course. This was fun, a distraction, and it didn't need to be anything else.
