Aiden John Solis
NICKNAMES: Aiden, Moose, AGE: 23 GENDER: Male RESIDENCE: District 5 OCCUPATION: Black market/underground dealer SPECIAL INFO: Biggest supplier for legal and illegal goods in District 5/The Fuse FACE CLAIM: Jared Pacalecki PLAYER ALIAS: Rebecca
Personality If you need something, Aiden is the kind of guy you go to. It might cost you more than you want to pay, but he can find a way to get it. He knows everyone, or knows someone that knows someone. He has ties around the district and beyond.
Aiden is cocky, overly social, and incredibly street smart. He's easy to get along with and hard to forget. He knows how to have a good time, and he can talk his way into or out of almost anything he wants to.
He's a man of his word, and anyone who isn't finds out how much Aiden doesn't appreciate that. He isn't afraid to use his fists when words fail, and he does not forgive easily.
History Although he grew up with a normal Mom and Dad, Aiden spent most of his time out on the streets of District 5. When he was young, a lot of his time was spent pranking people with his friends, seeing how much they could get away with. It became obvious early on that Aiden was an expert at talking himself out of sticky situations, and a lot of kids valued that in him. He became sort of the man with the plan.
When he was 10, he started running errands for a man named Black Jack. Black Jack worked in the Fuse, District 5's black market section of town, negotiating various business deals and finding hard-to-find objects. Aiden quickly earned the man's respect and trust, building his own reputation. At 12, war broke out over Panem. For a while, business in the Fuse boomed and Aiden didn't even had time to attend school half the time because of all the work he needed to do. Then, two years later, The Fuse was destroyed.
Never in his life will Aiden forget the night that The Fuse was destroyed. It had been on a day that seemed like business as usual until the screaming started. The stall he helped Black Jack with was about 15 stalls from the main entrance, where the screams were coming from. Aiden climbed up on top of the canopy to see something more horrifying than he had heard: fire. Men in armored suits were setting blow torches to the stalls, seemingly uncaring if their fire hit people or not. Panic spread like the fire did, and chaos ensued as everyone tried to get out of there. The Fuse never only had one entrance, and so many were able to get out through the side entrances, alleyways, and by just climbing the walls. Black Jack insisted that he and Aiden pick up as much of their wares as they could carry, saying that the items would only become more valuable after this. Aiden did as he was told and ran. Black Jack did the same, but he was not as quick as his young apprentice. His slowness and the fire's eager progress were a lethal combination, and the quick glances Aiden got of his burning mentor are forever cemented in his mind.
For many people, that day meant the end of their illegal trade. The Fuse Fire had killed dozens and been a huge blow to the trading industry. Aiden was more determined than ever though to keep the trade alive. He did this not only for the money, but to honor Black Jack and all the other who perished. Perhaps that makes him a rebel, but such a title seems inappropriate for what he is. He was called to fight in the war more than once, but his skill at persuasion and ability to acquire items no one else could bought him out of it every time.
Despite close calls and an ever-changing market, Aiden made it through the war intact. Now that its over, he continues his business and plans to one day build The Fuse back up to what it once was. There are several people that work for him, and most people respect him. He trades in goods of all kinds, and staying one step ahead of the law is a game he intends to play for the rest of his life.
