Area 1 || CORNUCOPIA

Kitty raced throughout towards a bag her eyes widened as she saw the fighting start, people were already at it and that just meant she had to grab what she could and get out quickly as she neared the bag she reached down and grabbed ahold of it as she turned back around. People around her were fighting and yet they ignored the little girl, instead she saw a small one from three go down by her as she dove under the seats and crawled slowly on her hands and knees slipping under them with her small frame. Out of sight, out of mind she thought as she kept crawling towards the exit.

Seeing the end she stayed down listening for any sounds, none near by, staying still for several moments she took a breath and than took off in a running start. She had to get some distance between them, make sure that she was not in the blood bath she thought as she left the tent as fast as she could with the bag on her shoulder she was gone off to hide somewhere.

Jack slung the bag over his back as he pulled out the gleaming sword. He started at a run towards Jade. They were doing a whole fake relationship thing to help get sponsors and throw people off and such. His real crush was someone else but the whole fake relationship thing seemed to be working out pretty well. He bet there would be a headline of the tomorrows newspaper in the capitol saying: "District Four and One! A Career Love!" See page 3 or something like that. He knew they had one because he read it last morning. They didn't have something like it in district four.

As he jogged over to the center of the cornucopia someone came at him screaming, their hands balled into fists. As he came at Jack, Jack punched him in the face and he fell. Then he stomped down on the person's neck and then a cannon sounded. (D11 F)

He came over to Jade and pulled her into a kiss which lasted a couple seconds before letting go. Then her turned as yet another person came over, trying to sneak in to get one of the weapons in the cornucopia. Jack swung his sword at the neck of the kid crawling through, and it fell off and rolled a few feet. Jack smirked as another cannon sounded. (D5M)

Sahalie's night had actually been one of sleep. Sleep due to something that her mentor had put into her drink so that she could sleep before her first night in the games. She needed that sleep too but it didn't help all that much. She had gotten up that morning and looked up at the ceiling in her room. She'd seen her district partner for a few seconds and that was about it. They had been whisked away to get ready for the first day of the games. This was not going to be good for the little girl of five. She walked into the room the held the tube she was going to be going into the arena by. She would be fighting for her life from the moment she left that pedestal on top until she came home or died somewhere in the arena. She would like the going home thing to happen. She knew better though. She looked at her stylist who gave her a little kiss on the forehead as he moved her into the tube. She smiled at him and then looked up as she entered the arena.

Her eyes went wide when she found herself in an aisle in the arena. She could seen the cornucopia below her. She knew she needed to get something but she wasn't going in there she couldn't. The countdown started and she took a deep breath. She was frightened already and that was going to get her killed. She had to find a way out of here. She looked around her as the countdown continued to run. She was looking for someone but couldn't find them. She hoped that the boy from seven would make it out but she was more interested at the current second to where her district partner was. She couldn't see him and she really didn't like that. She closed her eyes as the count down went towards the lower numbers. They were at twenty second mark now. She wanted to this to be ended already. She knew it would be days if she was lucky. She didn't want to be anywhere near the careers not just yet but she had to find people. Ten seconds and counting...

She looked up at the clock and hoped against all hope that she could get away. The gong went off and she ran. Ran as quickly as she could run. As fast as she could run she headed out of the tent that was housing all the things one could need. She just prayed she would get something later. She just had to last through the bloodbath and through the day.

She ran as quickly as she possibly could run.

Bryce had finally slept a whole night. He had been out two nights ago trying as hard as he could to prove that district nine could do this. They could make it through the bloodbath and people just had to believe in them. It was all up to his mentors now to keep them alive. He had headed back to their apartments to get the nights sleep he had gotten. He was here with Willow and he had to get one of them home he didn't care how he just had to get her home. He looked around the room for the last time. He touched the sheets and then said a little prayer not to any god but to his little sister. He prayed to her because it was easier then praying to a god who let things like this happen. Of course it was by the hands of man and not by god but he would think god would tell people to do something about it.

He took up his spot next to his stylist. They headed towards the tube. He wasn't to sure about all of this. He looked at his stylist who handed him the ring that he had been wearing in this tribute parade stuff. It was the only token the boy from nine would get. He smiles at his stylist and kissed her cheek. He loaded himself into his tube and was in the arena in a few seconds flat. He looked around searching for his partner. He needed to find her as quickly as possible. He took a deep breath and as the clock started to count down he wanted to move but was afraid to move out of his aisle. At the twenty second he was calming himself down and at the ten he was ready to run. He looked down at the cornucopia and shook his head he needed to get out of her.

Seconds later he was ready to go. He flew out the closest exit he possibly could and as far away from the tent as he could get. He was not dealing with the careers just yet and he had to find his partner. It would be disasterious if he did not. So he ran as quickly as possible.

Jack looked at Jade as she got the weapons from Sean. "Maybe a fire would be nice, maybe some other tribute would see it and think it is someone easy to kill and will come like moths to a flame. Then we can kill them!" Before anyone could say anything else or before Jack could say something else, there was a small ringing noise. Jack looked up to see a small metal case float down from the top of the tent.

It landed right at Jack's feet. It said: "To Jack." He opened the case happily, having been the one to get the first sponsor. He then pulls out a water bottle and puts it in his bag, and then pulls out a medical kits. "Sweet." He said, "I got the first sponsor I think, though it doesn't come with a note."

Then he turned back to the rest of the group, putting the medical kit into his now bulky backpack, "So. We were discussing a fire? Right?" A fire was a good idea and he told himself to tell Jade it was a good idea later.

Kailani had made it through watching the carnage. She hadn't had to take anyone out really. She was fine with that. She was going to feign the innocence as long as possible. No use in getting all worked up and tired out too soon. No as the days went on and as things got tense with less and less people to hunt she would show her true colors. She had let her emotions drain completely out of her. Or at least she thought she had. When Sean smiled at her she smiled back at him. Their night on the roof and struck a cord in Kailani that she never thought existed in the first place. That one little cord was gonna be hard to completely turn off in these games. She had done so with everything else but now they were talking of fire and of closing off the entry ways.

"That's a great idea boys. It forces them to come straight at us." A smirk crossed her face that one could see the death within it. She walked over picking up the trident and the other spear. Jade had allowed her to keep the back with the Spear in it and she walked up to Jade with the smirk still on her face. "you mentioned fire. Let's get what we need and do just that." A fire bomb sounded like fun. "its alright we don't have nets. Spears and Tridents are just as good." She picked up some water and food from another bag and one just laying about. she picked up some health items and just smiled. "Come on Jade let's get this started shall we."

She was sure that her brother and sister were watching this and they were seeing exactly how she moved. Kona would know what she was up too Mara would ask questions. That was the last momentary thought Kai had of her family she had to get back too. If she kept them ever present it would be her down fall. She stopped thinking of them and thought only of killing the people she was in this arena with. It didn't matter who you were at least at this current moment. All that mattered was setting the rest of this stuff on fire.

He paused seeing Kia and gave a nod when she packed up and smiled faintly at her, he knew she was far from innocent yet he knew her and that was what mattered. He knew what she was like and that had shown some trust between them how much remained to be seen. He was about to speak when he looked up and saw Jade with a match, “we could use this to defend ourselves in…not the best idea” he groaned but it was too late. She had set the fire, he gave Kai a look “dumbasses” he whispered to her and sighed quietly and closed his eyes and started on his way out.

Sticking around long was never the best idea, yet he knew Jade had made an error in flaming the place where it could be used to their advantage “stay with me Kai, don’t get separated” he told her as he left quickly, making sure that she was not trapped. Even now he wondered about how the games would end, if one of the five that were there would be the winners. As he exited the tent he paused and stood there and waited for Kai to come out, he would not leave her behind.

Kailani knew what she was doing when she told Jade to light it. Sure they had a tactical advantage in here but it also gave them the ability to see how everything would play out. Even the playing field just a little bit. They would have to find a base of operation besides that area but she was fine with that. She gave Sean a wink. She was thinking ahead because she knew that they were going to eventually forfeit the area and might as well give no one an advantage in doing so. After all guarding a place for too long would mean that the game makers and the others would try to take it by force soon enough.

No lighting in on fire would be a good idea. She grabbed the last things that she needed and watched Jade light it. She took off like a rocket after the rest was taken into the flames. She was not fond of flames. After all she was a water baby. She ran as fast as she could and got outside just behind Sean hoping that Jack was actually not far behind. It took her another few moments to realize something coming at them. "JADE!" She screamed out moments to late. Of course they were going to get attacked the instant they left safety. OH well this was how the careers shinned they found a way to beat what came out them. She took her spear in her hand and got ready to aim for the mutt as it go closer to her.
