The last battle for Panem is about to begin, so raise a glass!
Our second and final major battle here at THGT:PF will begin on Sunday, July 30. Basic details are below, but please post below or PM staff to add your own flair to this battle! This should be a part of all of us!
The Basics
What: A huge, crazy battle in which basically every character on the site can participate in.
Where: (The Capitol)
Who: Alias' Army, with help from D13, against the Capitol (See next section for more info)
How: + =
The rebels will use the trains heading to the Capitol after the reaping of the 78th Hunger Games to enter the Capitol.
When: Directly after the reaping of the 77th Hunger Games. This is 10 months after the District 4 rebellion, battle one. IRL, this begins Sunday, July 30th.
The Outcome: As decided by an earlier site vote, the rebels will win this. There will be lots of casualties though, so this is a good chance to give characters a good death or perhaps to get a few kills under their belt.
The Battle Plan
Alias' Army has been steadily building forces over the years. Now, they have a sizable army, both within camps outside the borders of the districts and within the districts themselves. They have decided that it is time to strike and end the tyranny of the Capitol and President Snow.
Contacts that AA freed from the prison have been vital to planning this big attack. Some bonds with District 13 have been built, and while Alias' Army has done most of the planning for this battle, District 13 will aid them. How and why did District 13 decide to become so helpful? After the failed battle attempt in District 4, the District 13 faced a bit of turmoil. Citizens were outraged at the losses and seeming utter failure of the mission, and began to question their leadership. There has been fighting - though most without bloodshed - and the district has elected officials to serve on a council in place of a single president. This council is much more balanced and willing to work with others than President Coin ever was.
During the reaping in each district, rebels from Alias' Army and District 13 will sneak onto the trains soon to head to the Capitol. In some districts, all the Peacekeepers have been paid off, allowing for a large number of rebels to be transported. In other districts, stealth is much more necessary. These rebels are just the first wave of the attack on the Capitol. Once they are within the Capitol, the rebels will wait until the new tributes are unloaded and the train is returned to its storage warehouse. They will get off the train from there, and a special team has been assigned to let in the second wave.
The second wave of rebels will arrive at the Capitol on foot or via hovercraft, and will be waiting beyond the Capitol's borders. A few rebels in district three have secured a building close to the Capitol, where they will wait. The team from the first wave will have to hijack the Capitol security system to let this second wave inside.
With everyone inside, the directions are clear: do not kill civilians. Disperse to the targeted areas first. Secure the President's Mansion, and most importantly, the President.
The targetd areas include: Gamemaker's Building, Tribute Tower, Train Station, Preisdent's Mansion
You may think this operation is risky, and it is. Some will die, but the Capitol won't see us coming - and we are many. We are Panem, and we are fighting for our future.
