Jezelia Vera LennoxBasic Information
RESIDENCE: District 1
FACE CLAIM: Zoey Deutch
PLAYER ALIAS: EsterPersonalityLia is the kind of person that is quite difficult to figure out. She's one person at work and another outside. When at work she's talkative, not afraid of speaking her mind and has a hell of a grip on the place to make sure that nothing bad happens. When she's not at work she's quiet, keeps to herself and pretty much avoids any human interaction. Drinking alcohol while working is probably one reason as to why she decides to talk. It's not that she's shy, she just doesn't see a purpose with making friends or forming any kinds of bonds with anyone. Before her family died she'd been the life of the party, always being in the center of attention and now she just found herself hating it.
When she does talk there's a sarcastic touch to most the things she says. Once, she used to be quite fun to be around but everything that she was, she now keeps hidden. Not on purpose but it's her way to keep going, to somewhat move on. What she feels these days is anger and grief but most of all it's loneliness.HistoryBefore the war she'd had a mother, a father and a younger sister. Arabella, Winston and Davina. She'd been happy. Her sister had been her best friend and her relationship with her parents had been really good. She'd grown up in a wealthy home, never going hungry or feeling like she was missing out on anything. She'd been spoiled but at the same time her parents had taught her the value of hard work and how to try to be a good person. Her memories of them and what they'd taught her was all she had now.
When the war began, Lia and her family sided with no one. They tried to survive and that was it, yet Lia was the only one to make it out alive. She'd wake up in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat with the smell of their burnt flesh reminding her of the day she lost her family. She was a month away from turning 16 when they died, leaving her all alone in the world. Now, in hindsight, she would have picked the rebels' side but it was too late. The Capitol had an iron grip on Panem and there was nothing she could do but get through her life day by day. Now she just tried to distance herself from everything that she'd had when her family was alive.
She'd moved from the mansion that she grew up in, bought a small apartment in the poorer area of district one, gotten a job as a bartender and had never looked back since that day. Now the mansion stood empty, still in her name but she would never go back. With the passing of her family she'd inherited her parents' money but she wouldn't use it. She'd given away half of it, to families who had suffered from the war who had nothing to help them get back on their feet. All of that had happened in the first two months when the war was over and ever since then she'd kept her social interacting outside of work down to a bare minimum.
