Basil had finally limped out onto the wide barren landscape that sloped downwards into the forest. After the forest, there was a large beach that surrounded the whole island. Basil would have to guess that most of the population of tributes would either be at the cornuclopia, or the forest. Though It seemed the outfits they were given are almost a camouflage for the tributes if they were to hide here. Basil preferred not. Her bright, blonde hair would give her away any day in the blackened landscape. So her only choice was to go down into the wondrous forest that lead to the beautiful ocean that seemed to be prancing with fish. She grinned. The ocean was her dream-place. She's never been there but it always seemed eye-appealing to the girl.
She started to walk down the slope. Slowly, but surely. It was kind of scary to the female- what if some random tribute came by and stabbed her in the back? Wait- no, that wouldn't happen. When she was leaving everyone was still scrambling for weapons and backpacks. The occasion seemed silly to the girl, really. Nobody really cared about each other- they only wanted weapons. There is your proof that the games changes people, right? She smiled. Her ever-so amusing humor always helped her keep in the best mood. Basil didn't know where or she was going, but she hoped that she was going to the way to victory.
She wondered what it was like for her family right now. Probably surprised yet happy that their 'little girl' had survived the bloodbath, let alone live this far. Basil felt pretty relieved herself in her own opinion. But this was no time for opinions- was it? No sirree. She preferred that this was the time to get her ass down before anyone else could. Her body stopped walking throughout the time as she thought about the recent events, most likely as a caution so she didn't fall into lava while being in her own la-la-land She ran her fingers through her hair as the tribute let out a soft sigh. With that, she walked.
