"I hate them all..." Was the thought in the mind of the tall teen with curly hair that was walking to the Sponsors' room, he needed to find a way to get important stuff for Ariadne. The tall teen was Joshua McKinnon, citizen of District 7, same one as Ariadne and Calem, but Calem seemed to have enough help. Josh decided to help Ariadne, she seemed more... fragil in many ways, he knew she was strong as all the women in District 7, but still she was delicate. Well he had learnt that women are delicate no matter how strong they are.
He looked around and didn't see a soul in there, which made him curse under his breath once more. He hated to be in the capitol, he hated that city and its citizens, all of them were nasty creatures that found pleasure in torturing others. But he knew that if he wanted to truly help someone from home in the games, he needed to be in the capitol, his sister had already mentored them and also was trying to get sponsors for them, well he was already a sponsor and he was going to help at least Ariadne, the best he would be able to.
"Is anyone in this place? Is anyone really thinking how to help them or you're just taking a gluttonuous feast?!" he asked wondering if there would be anyone who would actually listen to him.

Mahalia Echo was quite enjoying herself this Games. It was entertaining enough to watch on its own, and she often enjoyed that. To those who didn't the complete state of Panem, her choice of tributes to sponsor this Games might seem only capricious; she was sponsoring the girl from 8, the girl from 2, and the boy from 7. But there was a plan behind everything she did. She was known to sponsor strong females, and so it was with the first two tributes. This particular Hunger Games had a lot of interesting twists to it, though, which determined the full depth of her strategy.
To start, it was only a few short months after the last Games, which had people in the districts quite upset. If the goal was to try and quell the rebellion, it had failed so far. A rebellion had broke out on the very day District 7's tributes were reaped. The girl who was reaped even tried interfere that day. So that sparked the second thing that interested Mahalia and swayed her sponsorship: District 7's tributes. A fiery girl and a charming boy, both incredibly strong and decent fighters. Both from a district of what surely seemed like unrest, and so unfavored among Peacekeepers and though among the elite few in the Capitol who even knew of the rebellion. As one who both loved stirring excitement and being to one to beat down on it, Mahalia was hoping one of this two would be the new victor - if only to make her job much more interesting and open up many more possibilities down the road.
She walked into one of the sponsor rooms in a lightning blue outfit, the same color weaved into her dark black curls. Mahalia enjoyed every chance she got to dress up in the Capitol. While most Capitolites dressed in fluff and extravagance, though, her own style was much different. She went for single colors but hard lines, simple at first glance but seductive and sleek in execution. It was a waste on the districts, which is where she spent most of her time, but here in the Capitol it was quite effective. She was talking with a fellow about the girl from 8 - who seemed most interested in helping her win so he could bed her after - when a voice broke out among the others. She turned to face it's owner, finding a callow boy who clearly was from one of the districts. If his common appearance and straight face hadn't been enough to give him away, words like that would certainly do the trick.
Mahalia crossed the room to him, stopping a few paces away. "You're not a smart boy, are you?" she asked, an edge to her tone. Such disregard for convention and politeness intrigued her, and depending on how he continued to act, he might just liven up her evening. Not that that meant things would go well for him, of course; Mahalia was a Peacekeeper, and one who absolutely loved her job. "Talking like that in a place like this could land you in a lot of places you don't want to be. And then where will this tribute you're surely interested in be? What district are you from, boy?"

People had always intrigued Joshua, he had seen good people and bad people, he hated the Capitol, but he also had seen some peacekeepers be humans back in District 7, Not that much in the past disturbs, but when he was younger, it had been something weird to see and maybe it was only because his sister fancied the peacekeeper's eyes, but he had been good to them. He had also seen bad people from his district, which was the only one he had ever known besides the capitol, people that stole stuff from others, stuff that others would need to live, to work, to survive.
So when that Pacekeeper walked to where he was, he first didn’t know how to react, was she a threat? Wasn’t she one at all? Well, being a peacekeeper made her a threat no matter what, but was she a dormant threat or an active one? Then he thought about her words, he was smart, but she was right there, he was upset and upset would take him to the wrong place, Then Ariadne would be left behind. “I’m Joshua McKinnon, from District 7, Miss.” He said and tried to calm down, to remember how well he used to do it when he was back at home.
“and, May I ask your name, Miss?” he was being polite, and was trying to be more cautious, he needed people to trust in him and buy things for his tribute. So the only way in that moment was being charming and polit. “My apologies for my rudeness, it wasn’t my place.” He smiled at her and again he was the charming teen that used to get out of all kind of troubles using his tongue and brain.

"I'm twice your age, boy. I'm not a 'Miss'". Mahalia didn't like being addressed as "Miss". It sounded childish and girly, like something you'd call a twelve-year-old dressed in her prettiest dress. "Ma'am" was better, closer to something her 30 years and tough nature demanded. But neither had the ring of "Sir", the masculine title that reeked of power and respect. There was not its equal among titles for women, something Mahalia would change it if were at all possible. There were enough things she had changed or received in time. "You can call me Peacekeeper Echo. That's it."
District 7, eh? Mahalia's new favorite district, with a quelled rebellion fresh on their minds. She shouldn't have been too surprised that's where this boy came from, but it was really too bad he was taking a more gentle approach now. She would have loved a reason to beat him, just a little, since she couldn't well have hurt the man she was talking to moments ago with his crude suggestions. He had a fair share of power in the Capitol, whereas this boy had none. But it was like the boy had flipped a switch, realizing who he might be talking to. She wasn't dressed like a Peacekeeper, but she didn't exactly hide it either. And if he hadn't been sure who she was before, her introduction had made it quite clear. She had taken the wrong tactic with him if she wanted to exacerbate the situation, but perhaps the opportunity would present itself later.
"So, you made it all the way to the Capitol to support one of those kids from your own district. Why do a stupid think like that? They'll most likely be dead in a week. Are you hopelessly in love with that girl, or best friend of the boy?" Though Mahalia spoke disdainfully to Joshua, underneath she was genuinely curious. When she was a girl in District 5, or later in District 2, she had never taken much stock in the tributes that were called in her district or any other. Most of them died, and the ones that survived didn't affect her own life in the least. No one she'd ever cared about was called, but then there weren't many people she cared about to start with. Why would a boy who had luck on his side not to get called want to get involved with those who had, and would most likely be dead soon enough?

Maybe the woman was right it hadn't been good to call her a 'miss', but he had learnt back home, that if a woman wasn't warried it was ok to call her miss. Also the woman in front of him didn't look that old, she looked almost his sister's age. But then when she explained to him how she'd like to be called, he understood. she was a peacekeeper. A filthy peacekeeper! He hated most of them and he had the impression that for some weird reason he was going to hate her too. Then he nodded at her introduction. "ok, Ma'am..." he wouldn't have called her like that before, he used that title only for people of his mother's age! but... well this woman wanted to be treated like an elderly, she would be. "peacekeeper Echo."
He then nodded at her question, but his eyes crisped a slight flat second when she refered like that to his fellow district people, the tributes that were going to be sacrificed for the idotic minds in the capitol. But then breathed deeply and smiled again at her, he wasn't going to give her a chance to make him leave, he needed to stay there, he needed to help ariadne and Calem! So he tried to breath out all the anger he was feeling against her in that moment. "Well... it is never sure who will or won't die in the games, even the carreers had died in the arena under the hands of one from the outer circle, So I'm here to support them and try to give them all what they need to win these games." he said trying to stay calm, still she for sure could see the fire in his eyes.
