SIRI"The difference between want and need is self control"
This thread is open to everyone. I just need more points xD hehehe
Siri sat down at the little cafe that was notorious for entertaining many of the escorts and mentors of the Hunger Games. He saw a few people who weren't from the Capitol sitting down having lunch. It was an odd scene and it was the first time she'd ever seen it as she had never been to the cafe before. She wondered how the District citizens felt about coming to the Capitol as a sort of "thank you" for sponsoring tributes. President Snow had decided to break the tradition of only having Capitol citizens sponsor the previous games. Now, anyone in the Capitol could sponsor tributes.
When the waiter came to take her order, all she asked for was a glass of water with no ice and then capriciously ordered a tiny slice of carrot cake. Not much of a lunch, but she didn't feel like eating anything else but something sweet.
Someone had contacted her about sponsoring one of their chosen tribute. Siri was sponsoring two other tributes as well, and this exchange could prove useful. Besides, getting some experience in Sponsoring was also a good trade to have. It would also help with her social standings as so far everyone knows her to be "that cold, heartless gamemaker with no friends." It sometimes made her feel chagrin, but otherwise she didn't really care.

It was a nice day in the Capitol, citizens there seemed to be enjoying the games, there were so little of the tributes in the Arena and the bets were going up high to the sky. numbers were in favor and against the tributes. Mathias was in an odd position, he was a very young tribute, maybe the youngest to get so far in the games. Finnick might have been the youngest victor, but Mathias was younger than Finnick was back then.
District 10 was praying for the little tribute to go back home safe and alive. So Caterina tried harder this time, harder than ever to keep him alive, so she looked around for sponsors. That beautiful day, she was so tired already, but she wasn't going to rest until either Mathias won the games or... well lost them. She walked around a bit more and there she saw Serena Winters, she was a Game maker, but she was also a very good sponsor, ad she needed many like her to help Mathias to win.
She approached the table ad smiled gently at the woman, she didn't like Capitol's citizens, but she needed Serena to help Mathias, so she smiled gently. "Hello, I'm Caterina Westword from District 10, may I have a seat?" she asked politely.

SIRI"The difference between want and need is self control"
Siri smiled at the young waiter who brought her glass of water in one hand and saucer with a slice of carrot cake in the other hand. She picked up her fork with such effervescent energy, she had to refrain herself from eating the entire cake in one bite. Siri considered order another piece to save for later once she was finished with the one she had now. Inserting the silver utensil into the carrot cake, she noticed the softness of the cake. It was not crumbly or soggy. Just the perfect balance of spongy and soft. Siri smiled ebulliently, unable to keep the excitement from leaving the confines of her inner mind. No matter how hard she tried, Siri would never be able to bake. The idea of her learning how just seems so far fetched now that she has failed over a hundred times at baking. Why was it so hard? She had no idea as the entire subject of baking successfully eluded her, but it must be some kind of supernatural thing that required some sort of super human skill. There was no way that she could fail so many times at something so simple! There was just no way.
As Siri was getting halfway through the cake, she caught movement from the corners of her eyes. Looking up, she found that a girl was moving towards her. Blonde hair, thin, almost frail. She must be from the outer districts. Siri found herself standing up extemporaneously in such a sudden manner that she forgot to push her chair out and almost knocked over the entire table, the glass of water and the carrot cake with it. Thankfully, she was able to react just in time to push the table down, hitting herself on the stomach and then on the thighs.
She smiled at the girl nervously, hoping that she wouldn't exacerbate the situation anymore.
"Yes," she said with a large smile, trying to not scare the girl too much. She almost wanted to say that not all Capitol people were as clumsy or frightening as her. But perhaps that would just scare the girl away anyways. Deciding to keep her mouth shut, she sat back down as the girl sat across from the table. Siri watched the girl with curious eyes, noting how her hair glowed in an effulgent manner, as if she were followed by a soft light.
"District ten you say?" she sipped some of the water from the clear thick glass. "You are a long way from home," Siri continued wondering what such a young girl could be doing so far from her District. But of course, she did not have to think too hard. There was only one District 10 tribute left in the games. She remembered his face well, she saw it everyday. Matthias. The sweet little deaf kid whom everyone thought would be dead by now.
"Would you like something to eat?" Siri asked the girl, but did not wait for her response as she waved over the waiter to order something for her.

Being in the capitol was kind of a nightmare. Everyone seemed to be so cocky, everyone treated the people from the districts as if they were leproses or something like that, but they also seemed t be afraid of them. As if the people in the districts were crazy or worse. How couldn't they see that the crazy ones were themselves?! how couldn't they see that no matter what they did, the ones enjoying a game with murderers and murdereds was sick and insane! It was something that Cat would never be able to understand, but in that moment she needed the help of this capitol's woman... Mathias needed help and soon!
She noticed how jumpy the woman was and that made Cat smile, but it also looked like an apologetic smile, so she decided to use that. "I'm sorry if I started you." she said and then nodded at the woman's questions. "Yes, I know I'm far from home, but as President snow was so kind to let other people sponsor the tributes, I decided to come here and help one of our tributes." she explained softly and with a sweet smile, she didn't want to scare her again. But then she slowly shook her head when the woman offered something to eat, she had almost had her breakfast, but ended up agreeing when she saw the waiter coming by.
"Thank you very much." she said and sat down. then smiled at the waiter. "I'll have a beef salad with some bacon chopped pieces." she said and then sipped from the second glass of water that was on the table. "it is kind of you to invite this... now, could we talk about Matthias? the kid from District 10?" she didn't want to lose anymore minute.

SIRI"The difference between want and need is self control"
Siri studied the girl as she spoke. She seemed soft, maybe a little outspoken. But she had a confidence about her that she admired. Sure she was from the district, but she acted as if she had lived in the Capitol all her life. Except, of course, she wasn't nearly as shocking as the people in the Capitol with their high pitched voices and inflections at the end of their sentence as if they were asking a question. Even Siri had that Capitol accent. They grew up speaking that way and didn't hear the way anyone else spoke in other Districts except for when the Tributes would come. And eve then, the Districts accents sounded odd to them, even to Siri.
What fascinated her even more about the girl was the thing she ordered. A salad. But not just a salad, a salad with beef and bacon. From a District like 10 where they raised farm animals, she wondered if they were as poor as the other outlying Districts like 11 and 12. She had only been there once and the stench of animal manure that seemed to hang over the entire District was too much for Siri's unaccustomed senses. She carried a handkerchief with her the entire trip there during the Victory tour, but had to go back to the train early because she had started to throw up. Her visit to the District was only long enough so she could see the Square, which looked fine and had looked to have been kept. But that was as far as she had gotten.
"Well, Caterina. My name is Siri, and I'm glad to see someone of your age taking an interest in helping out your fellow District person in the Hunger Games," she said. Caterina had been far from being equivocate with Siri, so she figured she would do the same for her. No pretenses, just how she liked it.
"He's a bright person," Siri stated, thinking about how he had set the fire to the forest after receiving a suit that was flame and heat resistant.

Being there with a person from the capitol sent chills down Cat's back. She had always thought that they were weird people, people that didn't respect the life of other human being. Therefore being in front of that woman wasn't easy at all. But she would do it again and again as long as she could help Mathias to survive. Who cared about the money, the wealth, to live in the victors' villa... Cat knew that Mathias would enjoy all of that and maybe the capitol would even heal his hearing problem. But what she cared more was for him to survive the entire games, then he would be able to enjoy for sure all of that.
"Nice to meet you Siri. I just hope my help will be useful for him." she half smiled and then sipped from her water again. Maybe she seemed to be all calm and well behaved in front of that woman, but she was beyond nervous, she felt how her heart was beating hard and fast inside her chest. She only hoped that Siri, as the woman introduced herself to be, wouldn't notice her fast pulse or her sweaty palms. "Yes he is a remakable young man, which is why I really want him to survive the games." she smiled and then breathed deeply. "you saw how clever he had been, so I think that with some accurate help from the perfect sponsor, he could actually win the games."

SIRI"The difference between want and need is self control"
Siri nodded. She waited for the waiter to come back with her food before attempting another bite at the carrot cake. When the waiter came, she requested something a bit more filling. A spinach, mushroom, and cheese toasted sandwich was just what she needed. Once the waiter was gone and the the girl's plate was set, she picked up her fork and took another bite of her carrot cake.
Win the games. The girl had said. Siri herself was actually rooting for another person to win. Basil. She has watched her private training and assessment, seeing such potential in a non-career from a small girl was inspiring. Though Matthias was very clever. If Calem and Reko kill each other, Matthias very well could win the games. An underdog. The thought made her shudder, but she hid her emotions well from the blonde girl.
"Yes, he could," she smiled trying not to think about what President Snow would do if they helped the boy win. If he won on his own, that was one thing. But directly helping him was another. Siri was already worried for Seneca after finding out he himself was helping the boy through sponsors.
"How would you like to help?" Siri asked, wondering if the girl already had a planned.

cat didn't know where to start. The woman had asked about what kind of help was she thinking about. Well she could think on not only one for hundreds maybe, but she couldn't just tell her like hundred different ideas. Not that she didn't trust the woman to remember them, but because she remembered something her parents used to tell her since she was a little toddler. whenever you are asking for something, be humble and ask for little, so the other person sees that in you and gives you more, but if you ask for many things, then they would think of you as greedy and they will never help you again. Or something like that.
She then thought of a way to help Mathias through that sponsor, maybe prising isn't the only thing they needed with her. so she was going to do something different. "I know the games is show for people in the capitol, right? well then why don't make the games more attractive for the people who is watching it from their places." she smiled at Siri. "if Mathias gets stronger or gets another weapon, it would increase the bets on him and the benefits for the Capitol would also increase."
