In the house of mirrors, there is only one way in. The door looks like an ordinary mirror, but if you put your hand to it, your hand will go through the glass as if made of nothing but water or air. Walk through, come in, come in, come in... As you enter, you'll find yourself in a dark hallway. As you walk, the walls close in, the hallway getting even more narrow as you go. It's so dark you can't see anything and you wonder if you have gone blind. You wonder if you should just turn back. But you don't. You keep walking as the walls close in on your, pushing at your shoulders until you think you might get stuck. Then, at the end, the walls are so close together you'll only be able to squeeze your way out. But outside of that dreadful dark hallway, is a room with many sides and all the walls are mirrors. You walk in, there's mirrors all around you. If you look close enough, you'll see that there are halls leading away from the room. But the halls are all covered in mirrors also. Halls leading to more mirrored rooms and mirrored rooms leading to more halls. You look back behind you towards the long dark hall you had just come from, but it's gone. It's just a mirror. If you reach out and touch it, your hand will go through it like water or air, just like the door you used to enter into this place.
Will you remain in the first room of mirrors? Or will you try to explore? Perhaps hide? The rooms. The halls. The mirrors. They never end.
Once you step into the halls of the mirror house and put up your direction, there is no turning back. The only exception is if you put down "breadcrumbs" such as using a rope or items to retrace your steps. If you do this, anyone and everyone who goes into the first room can follow you.
If you choose to continue beyond the first room: [*rollrange="direction"]

Sahalie hurt right now. She could hear her sisters voice return to her head. She was trying to calm her down. She was listening as she felt Sean pick her up and continue to run with her. It was dark and she knew that something was following their group. They were the largest out there right? She wasn't sure but she had a target on her back now anyways. She didn't want to die though. She didn't want to leave the people that she held dear to her. She wasn't ready to leave just yet. She tried to keep her eyes open but she was just too panicked and overwhelmed to do so. Her eyes closed while she heard Sean tell her that he wasn't going to let anyone kill her. She was glad of that but then again the older boy could be lying. However, she was almost certain that he was not lying to her right now. Kailani has seemed to be so upset when she had helped her up in the first place.
Could it be that she was melting the hearts of those that were supposed to be out for blood and guts. Were these two careers better then the lot of careers put together. It was odd to think that. She could see it coming from the four but from the boy that was carrying her in seemed odd. But she had seen how the older two looked at eachother. They had tamed each other somehow. Or at least that what it seemed like. Sahalie wasn't good at reading people. She was far better at reading machines. She knew exactly where she stood when it came to a machine the people around her were new to her. The ideas in her head were new to her. People, friends, had not been a think the young girl had ever had to deal with. Now she had made them at the end of her life but she wasn't gone yet. She needed to find a way to stand and fight. She needed to keep helping there. Sure she knew she's be dead in the end but that didn't mean she'd go down this easy not just yet.
She opened her eyes as they got to the doors of the house of mirrors. She wasn't too sure she wanted to go in there. That was when her ears picked up something she'd earlier been to terrified to hear. Machines there were machines around them. They didn't sound like the rollercoaster or the ferris wheel. They sounded alive and they sounded as those they were working to do something. She listened for a moment and her eyes went wide. "Machines" She whispered softly and clung a little tighter to Sean. "There are machines around us but I can't figure out what their trying to say. They are alive...not like the rides." She knew that none of them would be able to make sense of it and likely thought she was going crazy but she couldn't help herself. She heard the anthem play but she was too busy trying to find the machines and the camera's that were watching them. The sounds that she was just now hearing made her want to fight harder.

Kailani kept running. She didn't care about what was behind them now. She noticed Sean pick up Sahalie and she took the weapons she had on her. She took up Ambrosia's weapons as they ran past and kept running. She took a second to get her barrings. Rain was pouring down on them again and she was happy for it in a sense. She could think straight were water was involved. She looked around her from time to time to just keep the others in her sites. They needed to be indoors or they would end up catching something from this dreaded arena. Perhaps inside they would also be able to find their way away from the clown. She could hear the squeaking behind them. The clown had missing arms but still it came. They needed to be rid of it. Still they would likely have to deal with it one way or another. If they went inside and tried to hide from it something worse might come of it. She was alright with this prospect. She and Sean could keep the girl's protected if need be. She was no longer things about just her survival. She was thinking about all of them.
These three people were her ship mates and she was not going to go down without them. She just hoped that perhaps they would all be standing when the final four came. If that was true then it would mean that Jack, Jade, and all the others had died. She wasn't sure how many were left now. At the moment she wasn't sure she rightly cared who was still alive. She knew that one of the boys from the previous fight had run away and she didn't see the girl that had joined them for a split second before the rats. There were still others out there. She took a deep breath and turned again and came face to face with the house of mirrors. This was going to be an interesting trip into the unknown. She was sure there were traps and all the likes in the area but that didn't mean anything much really. It meant that they would just have to fight. She certainly did hope that the capital was getting what they wanted.
She had always thought the games were pointless. She had never wanted to go into them but then again nothing would have stopped her from saving one of her siblings. It was just her luck to be sent into the games and them to be watching her. She'd always been the one protecting them. She just prayed that Kona would forgive her if she died. She prayed that Mara wouldn't hate her for the rest of her life. Her family meant the world to her and that's why she had wanted to win. However, now that it was going on survival was what was most important. If you survived you won right? She couldn't be sure but she could remember hearing Annie. She could remember what Annie had told her but trying to treat the three with her like meat bags was hard. She wanted to protect them all but she wanted to survive and so she was stuck in a way.
She shook off though as she made sure the others were close by before they headed in. She and Sean should go first and if Sahalie was alright to walk by herself she and kitty would go next. Or perhaps Sean would go first and the two girls would be in the middle and Kai would take up the rear. "Who wants to go in first. We need to get away from the squeaking." It was as she said this that she heard the littlest pipe up. She seemed excited in a way. It took Kai a moment to remember the younger girl talking about machines before. She had said something in her interview. "Sahalie calm your mind we'll watch you back. Try to figure it out okay?" She called to the youngest. Then the anthem started and she looked up at the night sky. The two from district nine had made it past day two, that was odd. Then there was a face up there that almost made her stop. Jack, Jack was dead. She would now be the only one that could win this for four.
She glared up at the sky and looked in a direction she hoped would be a camera. Plans changed and this was an upset in the plans. She squared herself up and she pushed on keeping an eye out for the source of the squeaking and waiting for someone to say something about who was heading in first. She needed to get her barrings again. She was feeling Jack's loss. He was a part of her even if they hadn't exactly gone with what was originally planned. She looked over to Sean and then back towards the squeaking that was coming closer.

Sean carried Sahalie in his arms as they ran he kept up with Kai, only a few steps behind them he held her close as they came to a stop. He paused and looked at the others “do we go in? or do we finish the fight” he told them and paused as he heard the squeaking and cringed. They were coming, but one only had legs left which made the fight easier, then they would be able to handle things. Setting Sahalie down where she could be comfortable he paused as he heard the anthem and looked up.
The faces meant little to him until one came up, Jack was gone he realized and looked at the others and then Kai and walked over and hugged her close. He knew she was hurting, when they had been split apart he had thought they would find each other again. He held Kai and whispered softly to her his voice soft “it hurts, I am sorry” the words were soft and sad as he sighed quietly. He knew they were from home and that was what mattered. His own partner was dead leaving him alone, the others were lacking.
Focusing he paused as he looked around “we should move and find Jade, see if she will come with us” he told them after a few moments. That and deal with the clowns if they followed, the girl had brought one and they had cut the others arms off. Maybe the one would follow serene but they had to be ready for anything. Stepping away he held his blade in his hand and waited.

Kitty looked exhausted as she ran her eyes ahead on the two others, she was glad when she saw them slow and stop. Her eyes went to Sahalie who was alive and smiled weakly as Sean sat her down and sat by her friend and hugged her before she let her go back to the machines and drew her knife and held it close as she shook slightly. That was when she heard the music and looked up three others, her district partner was alive and well he thought and gave a small smile as she leaned back and sighed quietly and that was when she saw the last person.
Jack was dead, Kais partner gone along with so many others. She was going to say something when Sean hugged kai and she just looked away and watched Sahalie as she did what she did and drew her knees to her chest. Eight were left, she had survived and made it to the eight without any help from Johanna she was alive and well, that was what mattered she shuddered and looked up and waited for a decision to be made.

There was a battle that was going to go on here very soon. She wasn't sure she wanted to be a part of it. However, Sahalie knew full well that she was going to have to be a part of whatever happened next. Running sounded like a grand idea. She didn't want to actually go inside of the place. It seemed a little to scary. Still she was more focused on the sounds of machines. They were off in the distance but as her mind calmed down a bit she could hear what they were saying. "keep them in keep them in." She looked up at Kailani and Sean as the male hugged Kai. Jake was gone she had gathered that much but that didn't phase the thirteen year old. She had killed someone and she immediately tried not to think about it. If she thought about it she'd black out and she couldn't afford to do that. "They keep saying. Keep them in." She said to the others. She wasn't sure if they would understand what that meant. However, it was the best that she could come up with. "Can we run. Just keep running until we find other people and then fight? She questioned the group. She didn't want to fight the clown. However, it was likely what was going to happen.
She kept her ear peeled for the sounds of the machines that were keeping them in this bloody arena. She wanted out and she wanted to go home. She knew her chances were slim though. She hoped that one of the older ones with her got home. Kitty, or Kai, or Sean. She gave a small hug to Kitty who was next to her. She whispered into the other girl's ear. "Fight...Fight until you are exhausted and then just keeping fighting. Don't go down easy. Do it for me please." She smiled softly at the other girl as she whispered the words. Sahalie knew her own fate but saying it stung just a little bit. Someone had to win. Someone had to win for her.

Kailani shuddered for a moment as she heard the squeaking getting closer. There was really no time to debate as she held the sword to her. She turned and watched Sean place Sahalie down. She moved over to the younger girl and handed her the knife that she had gathered from Ambrosia's stuff. "Here this should help." She turned right into Sean's hug. She let herself shudder in his arms. She wasn't weak and she wasn't completely shattered by Jack's death. "We promised. We promised we'd fight each other at the end. That we would be one of the last ones standing. we promised." She whispered softly to him showing only slightly her vulnerability at the moment. She took a deep breath of Sean. He smelled of blood most strongly but that didn't matter to her. She could still smell the soft scent or what had attracted her to him in the first place. She looked up at him. "Let's find Jade. If on the way we have to fight more of these danged clowns we'll fight these clowns. And we'll win." She pulled away from him after planting a kiss on him. She was ready to go again.
She looked around her at the two others with them. Sean was still in one piece and strong. She was in one piece and thanking the sea gods for her ability to endure. Jack was gone but four could still win. Four could still win if they could kill everyone else. If they found Jade it would be a help or at least she hoped it would be a help. If the five of them could make it to the top five then all would be well. She looked around them. "I'm sorry little ones but we need to keep running. Going inside might not be the best idea anyone since these things follow." She gave a nod to the younger two and then Sahalie said something that made her tilt her head. "Keep them in?" She thought for a moment about what those words might meant. She said nothing to what she thought through before she took off once again heading for the rollercoasters. It would be better to find the last remaining member of the careers even if it was just to end up fighting her. One way or another someone was going to win these games.
Kailani prayed Sahalie would be alright. She would do everything in her power to help the little girl but at some point the little girl was on her own. Kai had people to return to as well and she would do that at all costs even if they didn't want her when she got back. She kept a pace that the others could follow her by and ran. _____________________________________________ Exit to the rollercoaster

Sean could see the change in her face and eyes, his own met hers as he frowned. They had made that same deal, the deal that they would go to the end and yet she had stayed with him. The deal was gone from Jack with his death, she had come with him and not Jack though. That was what mattered at that moment he closed his eyes and kissed her lips slowly as she did the same “It will be okay, breath we both know the games will get harder as time goes on we have to make it” he whispered and hugged her close and didn’t let go.
Looking over at the two youngest he heard Sahalies words and then looked away as he went over and knelt “When the games are over, If we win we will speak of a brave little girl who did her best and made it deep in the games named Sahalie…a friend” he whispered and hugged her gently. It was the kindest words he could think of at that moment “Another named Kitty, you both are brave…and should be proud” he whispered and kissed Sahalie’s head and then picked her up “hang on…I’ve got you” he whispered to her his eyes met hers.
She was going to have to be on her own soon he would do his best to save her. “No matter what know I will always remember you Sahalie” he whispered and left with her carrying her.
Sean has left carrying Sahalie.

Kitty knew she would lose her friend soon she paused and hugged her close and cried quietly. She had promised she would not cry in these games, yet she had become close to the young one. The careers were focused on the games and yet she knew just from Sean’s words that he cared about her friend as she stood she gave a nod exhaustion in her eyes but she stood slowly. She wanted to take Sahalie away from them and this place but could not. As she looked away she rested her hands in her pockets and walked with the others and then ran behind Sean as she thought of her friend’s words and swallowed.
She had not said the words she should have when she heard the worlds, Sahalaie had given up and she could see it. She had one chance with the games and she had to make things right she thought and swallowed the lump in her throat and ran by Sean’s side “I promise” she whispered as she cried quietly for her friend in the games.

Attention Tributes. There will be a feast hosted tonight at: House of Mirrors.
The rewards are in small canisters numbered 1-4. You may take any ONE that you want, no more. 1. 10 HP 2. 1 Gargoyle Mutt (To be used once, dealing auto 8 dmg). 3. Attribute Boost: +2 weapon boost, permanent 4. 3 Automatic Escape
This will work similar to the BloodBath. Once you enter, there is NO escape. No sneak, blocks, or dodge allowed. ALL who enter the Bloodbath MUST fight at least ONE other person, regardless of allies. This is a pit. You must make your introductory post with no attack (this will determine post order), and wait up to 24 hours for another players response. Attack in pairs, this means that the first person will fight the second person. 3rd will fight 4th. If you're an odd one out and you've waited your 24 hours, join a fight. The last person standing from each fight will take their chosen reward. The mirrors have broken, leaving a semi-darkened room where in the center is a table. There are 4 canisters on the table and 8 of you. May the odds be ever in your favor.

When Lucas had begin to back out of the Ferris Wheel, he took one last look at Sahalie. He didn't smile. He knew that there was no way to make up for his lack of being there for her. And he also knew that her best chance of surviving was with the Careers. But there were only a few of them left and he hoped that she would survive through it all. He wondered what would happen when everyone else was dead except for them. There was only one winner and careers aimed to win. It's what they had always done.
Lucas looked up at the entryway to the House of Mirrors. It seemed all together evil, like something inside was waiting for him. Perhaps it was death. He took one last look at the world around him, it was desolate and empty. He knew that if he went in now, he'd most likely die. But if he didn't he was still dead anyways. "I'm sorry Johanna," he said out loud, knowing that there must be a camera nearby watching him. He hoped that she was watching, but then at the same time he hoped she weren't. If she was, she was probably yelling at the screen about how stupid he was and not to do it. As he walked inside, he thought about all the people he would be leaving behind if he died, which was most likely the case. His father. His twin brothers. His little sister Alana. And Johanna Mason. There weren't a lot. But they meant the whole world to him. But he couldn't back out now.
It was now or never, and Lucas would find out if he had the strength to fight and kill in order to survive.

No response after 24 hour time limit: 9:18 AM
Lucas was worried that there would be more people coming soon so he waited it out. He hid in a dark and shadowed corner of the room, making sure to step over as much glass as he could to prevent them from cracking beneath his feet. It was difficult to do since there were so many pieces of glass in the room that lay broken on the floor and from time to time you could hear crunching from the bottom of his feet. He'd stop every time, but of course every time, there was no response. Just empty, looming, darkness and quiet. Where they planning an ambush for him? Lucas's eyes began to adjust to the dimness of the room. After a while, his legs got tired of waiting as he sat in a squatting position. He stood up slowly and looked around. There had to be cameras in there and he wondered what the GameMakers had up their sleeves. Finally thinking that he had spent enough time waiting and just more or less wasted too much time, he ran towards the table.
Lucas picked up the canister labeled: 3. And dashed off out of the house of mirrors as fast as his legs could carry him.

Kai was making sure the others were still close. She was running so that they could get to the stupid feast that the gamemakers had announced. She was thinking about Annie's letter and suddenly pain shot through her body taking her to her knees. She had no clue what it was. She screamed out a second later at the shock and then hit the ground. She was out cold and her body lay still where it was. It didn't move with she was placed into the house of mirrors either. She had no clue what was going on at all. Her brain was hazy and she felt sick and dizzy. When she opened her eyes in her mind Jade and Jack and Sean where there. It was far before this whole nightmare of the arena has started. They were discussing something but she was only half there. Suddenly the picture shifted to her and Sean up on the roof. She had been resolved to win the games for her family. She felt the phantom touch of his hand in her dream and instantly melted into that phantom touch. Her mind was in a rather good dream right about now.
She shifted in the place she had been put by the game makers. Soon enough the picture changed to her and Annie on the couch. It was the night she had told Annie about everything. It was the night she let someone other than Sean in. It was the night she and Annie had bonded. Then the games. The fire was the first thing she saw. She was standing next to Sean who was defending her as they went running. They survived the fire but without Jade and Jack. Now she just wanted all of this to end. She stopped it right there. She couldn't relieve anymore of this she had to make it stop. She let out a small squeak and moved around a little bit before her eyes slowly opened.
She couldn't take thinking about Jade and Jack. They were one now. The tears were starting to threaten her. She needed to become the monster that could handle all of this. She looked around her for a second before she sat up. She was inside somewhere and there was a screen there. She looked up to see that the screen was trained on an area in the arena. Her eyes went wide and she wildly looked around her now. She kept her eyes at the screen every few seconds as she kept looking around the room. There was no way out or rather the only way out was locked. She looked up and scowled "I hate you all." She murmured out under her breath and sat down to calm herself.
She was used to being locked inside of places. She took a deep breath and growled though. She hated being locked away so she couldn't do anything to help. They were reminding her of her step mother. She wanted out of this room but she wasn't about to mess up the weapons that she had. She watched the screen and soon enough saw Sean on the ground out like a light. What were the gamemakers playing at. Her whole body tensed and she nearly screamed at the screen. "Sean get up get up before someone comes after you. Please love?" Her voice was almost frantic why were they doing this to her. Why were they not allowing her to fight. Where were the girl's where they okay. The screen flashed for an instant away from Sean to the rollercoasters and then back again. She would hear the canons from in here wouldn't she.
She looked around knowing there was a camera in here. "WHY ARE you doing this...WHY can't I fight please please let me out." This room would cause her to think of all the things she had tried to keep her mind off of. There was no Kona to get her out of give her things. She was being forced to watch something she wanted to be there to witness. Why were they being so cruel to her. Didn't they want fights, didn't they want to see their top people fighting each other to the death. Why had they trapped one? She started to breath heavily and shook a little bit curling into a ball. This was not going to end well. She pulled out Annie's letter and held it tightly. Annie wouldn't do this to her. She wouldn't do this to her baby sister either. This would never happen to her after this. Either she would be dead and free from everything or she'd be alive and well in hell but she wouldn't be locked away.
She had the strength to do this. If only they would let her out if only they would let her fight. She wouldn't win the games like this. No she'd be so shattered if they kept her here for much longer.

Kai kept staring at Sean on he screen. She was so worried that the other boy would just take him out. Finally he stood up and looked around and then the other boy attacked. Her breath caught as she saw the ax go into Sean's arm. She let out a tiny scream and stuffed Annie's letter back into her shirt. She got up closer to the screen. The boy from seven was dead to her now. He had attacked Sean and was going to try and kill him. She wanted to be out there helping Sean. She wasn't sure how much of this she could take. The others she still had little clue where they were. She took a deep breath and looked or the exit again. "Let me out PLEASE let me out." She really didn't want to be in there. The only thoughts coming to her mind were getting out to Sean and the abuse. All the times her stepmother had locked her away in her bedroom or in the closet because she as angry. The times when she was locked in the basement and the belts came out.
The battles she fought with her stepmother just so that Kona and Mara wouldn't feel the pain. She knew that sometimes she couldn't save Kona and she felt bad every time. But Kona had been trying to protect her. Now she was fighting for her life but in a death match. For once she might actually have to thank her stepmother for getting her this far but that thought fell out like a bitter lemon fell off a tree. She hated the woman and hated the game makers. "LET ME OUT PLEASE JUST LET ME OUT" she pounded on the walls and then looked at the screen. She finally sat down again and curled up. She rocked back and forth and went for Annie's letter. They wanted her to break they wanted something to happen to her that's the conclusion she came too.
She looked up and growled. "If I get out of here I will give you a show like you've never seen. I will honor district four and I will win for everyone here. I will be the monster because I'm strong enough!" she yelled up into the ceiling of the room as it echoed through it. She kept her eyes on the screen. She closed her eye for second a the gears started to turn She was no longer the calm girl from four. She was a career. She was supposed to be a monster and when she got out of here she was going to kill. She would kill everyone until she got to Sean. Her blood boiled and the innocence started to fade. She was shutting down and becoming the extremely deadly half of the duo that district four careers had seen in the academy. She didn't have Kona to back her up. But she wanted to get home to him and Mara. She wanted to survive and take victory for four. She wanted to fight for it ot sit here and watch.

A small ding was heard as a small metal delivery floated into the room, meant for her.
Kai you have to breath, in and out listen to me you are stronger than this. You have to keep fighting, win or lose you cannot leave the arena without his death. I know that this is hard to hear, but in the end to come home you were going to have to let him go. Focus on the games, on those that are around you and fight. Fight as hard as you can and don’t give up, if this is where his canon booms…than fight for him. Fight for his memory, for Sahalie, For Kitty’s…fight as the person you are…be my daughter.
I have a small note he wrote the day before the games, it is not much but he asked if things became bad to give it to you. Here it is, I love you Kai…I cant contact you again, the games are becoming harder to watch...I am sorry.
Love Annie
A second page was attacked to the note simple and neat
Kai, if you are reading this I have died, or am doing bad. I have no idea how far the games I want to apologize, I did not keep the promise and I was not strong enough. The days that we had, even now were some of the best that I have had in my life. Do not forget who you are, or why you are in the arena…be the woman I love and make it home. I have one last note, when you come home it will be given to you by Annie….if you don’t I will be waiting if we go somewhere after this, I will wait until you walk through those gates…in seconds, minutes, hours or even years I will be there when you come.
I love you, and even though I may die here I would not change a thing about meeting you. be brave.
Love Sean

Kai heard a ding and she knew what that meant. It meant somehow there was a way for them to get things to her. If she could only find the opening that it came in from. Sadly that was not the case and she couldn't find were the canister had come from. She was even more angry now but she opened up the canister and her face went back to the screen. She screamed out when Sean missed and lost his arm. "NOOOO, stop let me help him. Please let me out of her." She knew that wasn't really what they wanted. They wanted her to kill people. She needed to let him go but she just couldn't do that right now. She was holding on so tightly to that one thing that wouldn't make her mind slip completely. She needed that one thread. That one life line because if she lost it would only be someone coming up to her and hugging her and telling her it was alright that would get her to calm. And by then it would be to late. She wouldn't even fully remember what she did.
She pounded on the door again but she wasn't getting anywhere with that. "Please, please let me fight. Please don't keep me in here." She was begging and she knew it looked bad but she need out. She was starting to lose her mind. She was starting to go crazy. She sat down and opened up the letter that she found. It was another one from Annie but something came with it. There was a second note there. She took a deep breath and read them. She looked up after reading Annie's. She would do her best to be her daughter. However, in being her daughter that meant that she would have to listen to the advice that had been given to her at the get go. Everyone was just a piece of meat. Annie had told her to let Sean go.
She closed her eyes and read the note in a different hand. The one that Sean had written. The words on the note brought tears to her eyes. She looked at the screen at the fight that was going on. He wasn't doing horrible but she couldn't get out to save him. She folded up both notes and took a deep breath. Only Annie truly knew how much the two of them loved eachother. She was the one they entrusted with their letters for each other. She started to shake as the tear streamed down her eyes. She was going to have to do the things she knew she had to do. Sean was still out there and she would get to him as soon as she could. Or he would try to come find he. She would scream and snap if she heard his cannon. It was the one things that she couldn't just simply stop in her. She loved him.
Annie wanted her to be her daughter and so she started to dry her eyes and take a deep breath. She was ready to fight. A sort of change washed over her. She stared at the screen she wasn't ready to let him go and maybe she wouldn't have too. What she had to do was get out of this place and find a way to kill to get to him before he died. If he died before she got to him then she would say her final words to him over his body. If they let her. If they didn't let her the would not like what would happen then. They want a monster. It wasn't that she was one. She really didn't like the fighting. However, she'd been fighting to survive and protect those she love all of her life. Every since her father died.
She was the daughter of a fisherman and his wife, the daughter of a wretched career step mother, and the daughter to a Victor that had in a way opened up to her. That she cared for. It was for this reason that she was strong. She had her brother Kona to protect, her sister Mara to save from the pain of their stepmother. An ocean calling her home. She needed to get home. But first she needed out of this place. With one eye on the screen she went back to searching for a way out. She stood and paced but because she felt stronger with the letters near her. She would try hard not to break but there was no way she was coming home the same girl that had left. She hoped that Annie was okay with this. She wasn't even the girl that Annie had sent in here anymore. Annie couldn't watch anymore and she would end this quickly for Annie's sake. If only they would let her out of this hell hole.

Seneca had kept a close watch on the girl from district four. He had allowed in the message just to taunt the young woman and taunt her it did. She was screaming at them he could tell that. A message came to him from Snow. A little reminder to let the caged bird out. Seneca smirked, he was doing good. Snow liked it and now he wanted to see what would happen. Seneca knew how Snow liked to test people and he was sure that was why he'd give Seneca the info.
He put in code and pushed a button. A small ding was heard within the room and then the sound of air. He couldn't wait to see how the fight with the two boys would end and what the female would run into. After all he knew where she would go. He loved how he could at times manipulate the tributes into doing exactly what they wanted them to do. Only because they would know their weakness. They would exploit it because that was how they played the game.

The young woman that had been he Goddess of district four and her stylists favorite doll was breaking ever so slightly. She looked at he screen and tired hardest not to cry. Her lover was fighting for his life and the ability to keep his second arm now. She would murder the boy from seven when she got out of here. At least Sean seemed to be doing slightly better then him but there was just so much blood. She hated admitting it but the sight of blood only made her want to murder more. Want to fight and win. It was why the first time she'd gone up against her step mother that she had not been able to stop. She had been tired of seeing her own blood and the woman that caused her pain, in pain as the best thing ever. Of course as she had calmed down she felt horrible for what she had done. It as the incident that took her and Kona to the Academy.
The academy drilled into you that people were just made to one day be slaughtered by the best that district four could give them. She never believed any of it but she fought like she did. She fought that way because it was what they had wanted. In the back of her head she was always saying she was doing this to protect others. To protect her little sister who was like her own child. Her sister was what truly kept the seventeen year old strong and her little sister would never quiet understand why. Mara had been before Sean her sole reason for living. Even her older brother Kona knew that. Because Mara was the reason he lived too. He always knew he could rely on Kai's help. She wondered if he was on the sea right now and that's why she could hear the oceans call so loudly.
Her hand went to the necklace that laid around her neck. The dolphin from Jack and the lighthouse from her brother. She missed them both. She had to win for Jack, Sean, Jade, Kitty, Sahalie...Everyone. She had found a family here that she wanted to protect as well. She hadn't realized that she had such a huge heart herself. She had never realized that she had deserved to be loved the way that Sean loved her. The tears came then as she watched the fight with the two boys. She didn't know where the girls were but she hoped that they were fighting. She hoped they would go down fighting with all they had. Then a sound caught her attention. A sound she knew well. There was a breeze to follow it and she turned for the door. She took one last look at the screen. "I'm coming...don't you dare die on me yet." She whispered at the screen. "i love you." She said as she race out of the opened door and headed or the petting zoo. She would get there as fast as she could.
Once outside she looked up to the sky and smiled. She had to end these games and if she didn't end up being the last one standing so be it. She was going to do that best that she could because people were relying on her to get back to them. And though she had made many decisions and betrayed a few of them she would fight because she wanted to live because they wanted her to do so. She took off running as quickly as she could. She would prove that she was the daughter to a victor even if she wasn't flesh blood.
