Area 6 || Ferris Wheel

Sahalie watched the others feeling more self conscious by the second she didn't do well with people ever. She started to shake a bit more. She took the spear from kai and felt just alittle safer. She took a deep breath to calm herself down. She just had to keep telling herself it was fine.

She looked up at sean when he said she was to be the one to do watch with him. She wasn't sure she was okay with that. She took a deeper breath and nodded. She was going to be good. Then she watched him kiss kai. That seemed to calm the older girl. This wasn't going to be that bad right. If she did things like they said all would be well.

"Um where do you want me?" She questioned the older boy. She knew that when the sun rose they were going to be hunting and she would see blood and gore again. She wasn't going to get away from it she knew that much. Kai and kitty would rest first and then she and the boy would. She waited for her orders. She knew that weapons would have to be given over soon. She took the food she was given wondering herself about the fish.

Kailani wasn't usually this mean and cruel. At least she wouldn't have been had it not been for where they were. Annie had told her to shut everything off. THEY were all just meat bags like in training. parts of her were screaming at her to not be so mean but she wouldn't listen. Then Sean was asking her about fi.s she looked over at the lake next to them
"No not safe." That was all she had to say about the fish. When Sean came to her and kissed her she calmed considerably. She smiled when he said that he would have laid with her. "It's alright safety first."

They were going til the end and she would rather they keep watch in shifts. He started a fire and went about getting the food. She ate and wished to be snuggled against hum. She had to give the young one props for asking questions. She was being a good girl. The other female laid down by the fire and looked at her for a moment before closing her eyes.

Kai watched Sean for a moment before she curled up still watching him.

Sahalie listened to her instructions. She had finished eating and was watching the other two. When she walked away with Sean she stopped shaking a bit. He was starting to be nice now. maybe they weren't so bad after all. She got comfortable around Sean and then finally started to speak.

"I am not good with people and these machines speak of death. I am scared." She knew very well that admitting that would and could be bad but she had to say it. She let out a deep breath.

"I'm Sahalie and it's nice to meet you. Will..will the other one cool off too? I mean is she usually that mean.?" She wanted to make sure kitty would be alright. The Elder of the girls spooked her but sahalie could see that the elder could be kind.

She looked around them keeping an eye out for others coming there way. She wanted to keep others safe. It was just a bit scary to be like this in this place. If she went home she would have nightmares for years. And she didn't want to kill any one.

Kai had calmed and she was more willing to listen to the girl next to her. She let out a soft sigh herself. "I am sorry too." She was trying to make up for the spear to the throat incident. "I just don't want to think about my sister here ever." She let out another sigh as the girl started to talk to her a little more.

"I am Kailani by the way. Home is beautiful. I live by the sea and have been on it many times." She smiled thinking about home was making her slewpy. She could visit home in her sleep. The blue green waves washing over her as she slept curled on the beach. She looked back to Sean and then back to kitty.

She smiled at the girl. "I promise I only bite if I have to. You can come closer over here." She curled up a bit more and moved so kitty could join her. She was going to be motherly at least for now anyways. She needed to be.

Sahalie looked up at sean as he hugged her and told he breath. She did as she was told. She took a deep breath and let it out. She may be terrified but as she listened to his words she tilted her head."how does one go about thinking of a person like a bag of meat?" The concept confused the young girl. She knew a person had meat on them but a human was made of mostly water so wouldn't the saying be treat them like water bag. She looked confused and then shrugged it off.

"I don't do well with people. I don't get people. But I know I will eventually have to kill. I just I am afraid." She was worried about what killing a person would do to her.

When he told her she could go lay down she nodded. She left the spear with him and went to the fir. she looked at the two girls for the moment and then went and cuddled up with kai on her other side. Using the older girl as a Teddy bear. SHE gave one last look at Sean before falling asleep out of pure exhaustion from terror.

Kai slept very little. Waking up at almost every movement the younger girl's made. She was in full mother and protective mode it would seem. Upon waking up the last time she left the two curls curled up together. Curling up together was a good idea for warmth. She poked the fire a little bit. She knew that the fire would bring people too them if the cornicupia wasn't still ablaze itself. She could smell some smoke so figured it was still smoldering. if anyone had gone to inspect it they were likely dead now. Or they had run away who would stay in such an area really. She walked up towards Sean and smiled softly at him as she sat down next to him. "you watch is up my dear." She kissed him softly. The capitol must be getting a show with the careers kissing other careers not of their district. She knew that Jade and Jack were out there. It was just as well. After all soon enough the careers were going to be going after each other.

They hadn't even stayed together for a full day. She was sure her stepmother was reeling about that and telling people that she was stupid. She would show that woman she would. There would be respect from that woman when she got home. She hated her stepmother so much that she almost growled at the thought of her. She looked out around the area and smiled. "Sleep in my lap love. I'll keep a look out." Her voice was soft and soothing as she looked at everything around them. They were need to leave this area soon enough. They couldn't stay here forever but at least it was peaceful for one night. They were hunting the next day and any emotions that had filtered in would need to disappear once again. They only mistake of getting close to someone that she had made was with Sean and that's how it was going to stay.

Sahalie had spent most of her sleeping discussing things with her sister in her dreams. It was the only way that the little girl was not going to go completely crazy. She was scared of everything around her and the machines her though not working sounded mean and unfriendly. She didn't like that. She really wasn't sure what she was going to do about what Sean had said. How could she think of human beings as meat bags. It made no sense to her and the more she talked about it with her sister the more in confused them both. She was thirteen years old and had never had anyone tell her something like that. She just wasn't good with people so if she killed them then she could go back home to her machines right? She wasn't exactly sure that was the best way of looking at things either. She didn't want to kill anyone.

She woke with a slight start as Sean touched her gently. She looked up at him for a moment trying to adjust her eyes and figure out what the heck was going on. It was a few seconds later that she jumped sky high. She trembled as she hit the ground again and looked at the others as the rain started to come. She didn't like lightening. Lightening wasn't a good thing. She was okay with the rain but not the Lightening. She clung to Kitty for a moment and then calmed herself down. "D...D..Don't li..like l...lightening." She stuttered out and proceeded to go hide behind Kitty. She wasn't sure what the other girl was going to say but it would take her only a few more moments to calm down completely.

She jumped each time she saw lightening until someone told her something to do to get her mind off the fact that there was light striking down around them. She started taking deep breaths.

Kailani smiled as Sean woke up and kissed her. He went to wake up the girls and Kai smiled genlty. They made a rather interesting family at the moment. She laughed to herself and she looked around. The sky got darker and darker. She knew what the clouds meant. "We need to be careful Sean." She said softly coming up to the two girls. The rain started after that and she smiled happily at the water. However, the flooding of the arena would be both a good and a bad thing. She knew how to swim so if it got that bad she'd be okay but she wasn't so sure about the others. It would end up her and Jack if others didn't know how to swim.

Kailani nodded her head at Kitty's words. "She's got that right. Now sure what is higher ground here though." She looked around and then started to move. They needed to get moving before the lake drowned them all. Okay so it wouldn't do her much harm but she wanted away form here just in case there were mutts in there. Mutts that wanted to kill them. "yes it is Kitty." Kai called back to the younger girl. She moved as quickly as she basically could with the ground becoming slick and the water rising. She could move faster but she didn't want the other to get to far behind
