A scary Malfunction-Lucas

Sahalie was one of those people that just popped up unexpectedly. She never meant to scare people and half the time she didn't know what she was doing. Here in the capitol it was people who snuck up on here. She was not good with people. She didn't know what to do with all the noise of human activity. She was used to being out by her windmills and only hearing the gentle hum of the machines in her district. The same machines that supplied the power to everything here in the capitol. The machines here were all wrong and their sounds were jarring. It was almost as bad as just being in a huge group of people. Her mother and her twin sister has she survived would be fine with the people. She and her father were at a loss for places like this. They understood the machines and the people who worked with them but they didn't get all the social gathering things. Sahalie was worse off than her father but that was because she had never met anyone her age that would take her under their wing. Not even someone slightly older.

Sahalie jumped when Lucas spoke to her. "I...I'm sorry I didn't see you...I..." She was stammering and stuttering out her words. Lucas was always nice to her when they were together. As a matter of fact they had been down stairs earlier with eachother. "i can't sleep. I keep waking up because of a sound. A machine is sick. Or at least I think that's what the sound is." She shook her head and then her eyes went wide when she heard the hissing that she'd been hearing in her dream. There was a squeak and a jolt and then everything blacked out for a moment and then the lights came back on but the elevator was being sluggish until she heard it come to a stop and it didn't open up because they weren't on a floor.

Sahalie looked around them and then started to tremble a bit. She knew nothing about this machine and she was stuck inside of it. She started to back up to the side wall and tried to think of how to get it working again. Elevators weren't much different them some of the stuff at home. At least they couldn't be that different. They were machines after all. She was panicking and not even her sisters voice trying to sooth her was helping. She wanted to scream but then that would make her look ever weaker. She was sure she looked weak to Lucas. As a matter of fact Lucas was likely going to laugh at her and then be dangerous to her in the games She fell against the side wall and slid down it trying not to black out from the sheer panic of not knowing what to do.
