Say a prayer If you'll feel the need Just don't waste your prayers On her sympathy Fara was incredibly busy. She had been so since the 76th Hunger Games was a complete disaster. The gamemakers responsible should've died, but their asses were saved at the last minute. Almost half of the gamemakers had died because of the malfunction. If the victor had died, there would've been nothing to save Siri and Orpheus from their death. She was now promoted as head gamemaker and she had to make things absolutely perfect. It wasn't hard for her, especially since she was a perfectionist, but cleaning up the mess the former heads did was something that was a challenge for the nineteen year old woman. In fact, there was so much to be done that she almost forgot she had a family and friends.
When she was in high school, she modeled and was interviewed on numerous occasions. She had free time to be popular, and though she was still among the citizens, she couldn't be bothered to go to parties. She wished she had free time to actually do things, but with the games being less than 300 days away, she was working with her team for the perfect preparations. Fara was meaner than usual as well, which was definitely saying something. She would snap at the slightest inconvenience. There was immense pressure on the teenager of fulfilling her duties of being Snow's granddaughter and being the best and brightest gamemaker. Though she would never admit or show it, she tended to cry a lot before she went to bed. It wasn't a sign of weakness but rather a sign of trying to get all of the stress and anger out.
She received an invitation from her father to have dinner with her sister. She wasn't fond of the brat, especially not when she barely had time to herself, but she figured that she would need to give her some attention. They were sisters after all, though they were technically half-sisters. She never spent time with her as a child, always focusing on herself. It was still that way. If the little girl wanted to become better than Fara one day, she would have to work twice as hard.
Fara and Celestia were suppose to meet for dinner at The Crystal City, a fancy restaurant that only the most high class people went to. She knew it was more for publicity than anything, but she would try to be interested in the girl's life nonetheless. To her, the two didn't have anything in common really. She was mean-spirited and ambitious, whereas her younger sister was caring and sweet. Fara's adoptive mother, of who her father was married to, liked her a lot more than Fara herself, though she could give a damn less about the tramp. She was still a Snow, and though she was technically considered a 'b*stard' child, she more than proved herself that she was the read deal. Hell, she was running for president to succeed her grandfather whenever he kicked the bucket.
The brunette saw the little girl at a table. Fara smiled and waved as people looked at her. "Hello Celestia," she said when she got to the table. She sat down. "Sorry I'm a bit late. I've been trying to run a Hunger Games and all. How has school been for you?" The words weren't really caring as much as they were for show and slight interest. She was suppose to be an only child before her father popped out another girl. To her, that was competition. And Fara Snow didn't care much for her competition. I said "she must be swift and white, And subtly warm, and half perverse And sweet like sharp soft fruit to bite, And like a snake's love lithe and fierce." Men have guessed worse. -Swinburne Celestia had absolutely cringed when father told her that she would be having dinner with her sister tonight. It's not that she held any dislike for her sister, she loved her just as she loved her parents, but loving and being comfortable with someone were entirely different things. The pair of them never had much of anything in common aside from making the snows look good and grandfather proud. Other than that they were opposites, and while it was good to show the world that there was no animosity between the children of different mothers, it was all so strict and formal that it bothered the young child who had an intense love and reputation for just being herself at all times.
Still after a short while she saw her sister enter the doors of the overly pretentious restraunt at which father had arranged for them to dine together. The older snow kept herself together well, but it was obvious she had been under alot of pressure. She worked as a game maker for the hunger games, and then there had apparently been alot fo trouble, an accident of some sort, that had led to the firing of several game makers and the promotion of Fara to Head Game maker, an extremly plump job for someone so young, but likely also a very hard one, the hunger games were always impressive, from the arrival of tributes to the games themselves, and to manage wholely even a part of that, it was enough to erase celestia's discomfort to merely feeling bad for her older half sibling.
"Hi Fara, no worries, i just got here a few moments ago. Besides i'm just glad you could come so last minute with your sudden promotion and all," she replied warm, polite, and bright as always. But she did admire her sister, climbing the ladder so fast at such a young age, and the majorityofthathad little to do with nepotism either, she just happened to be in the right job at the right time to advance.....with a little nudge from grandfather no doubt.
"School's alright i guess, once you've attended a grade for a week you can pretty much see what the whole year will be," she replied with a small smile. Her parents had been pretty adament she not skip any grades, despite her intelligence. It was more impressive to constantly ace everything and be involved with educational extracurriculars as opposed to burying yourself with work that actually challenged you, and doing extra curriculars at least made her feel like she had it together socially. Something she'd always envied about her sister.
She didn;t offer any more after this though, choosing to let her sister get situated and place an order rather than bog her down with mundane details about her life. This was for show mainly, her sister only cared for her like her parents did, because she was useful and made them all look good. This was a fact she'd accepted long ago, but still, maybe over time Celestia could at least close the gap, she admired her sister and deep down she really did want to be friends if not family with the girl

Fara had a tough three weeks, and though she was forced to have dinner with her sister, it was a nice time to relax. She had her fiancee, Garrus, executed because of his lack of faith to the Capitol. He didn't want to put in the work so she didn't want to keep him alive. Again, the girl was single and that was completely okay with her. She didn't really have time for a relationship, or more of a business partner as they usually are, so she didn't mind being single. Whenever she did her campaign run though, she would need to find a suitable husband. Not that anyone would marry her for her personality, but more of a mutual benefit.
The older brunette girl listened to her sister, actually trying to hold a conversation with her. At least she was smart enough to be on the Snow level, though she might not have the ambition that they were usually known for. It was alright for her, as there was enough ambition in the family. Fara wasn't really a fan of her parents. She never looked up to them when she was a child. She was always close with her grandfather, learning the ways of being President in Panem. If she could only get that annoying brat Akiva out of the way, she would have the election in the bag when it came down to it.
She tucked her hair behind her ear and put her hands in her lap. "Yeah, I know how school is. You'll breeze through it before you know it," she said. "Enjoy your free time while you have it, kid. It's going to be hectic after since you're Snow-born." It was true. Fara was incredibly busy and she figured she would be for the rest of her life. Whether it was a rebellion storming up or the Capitol always in power, Fara wouldn't sleep more than five hours a night in the next forty years.
