Background
Rue comes from a big family, and I'm putting it out there to see if anyone wants to join it! Let me know if you have any questions or ideas about the Gevins family tree.
In District 11, where money is tight and the work is hard, the Gevins family is a close one. Rue looks out for her younger siblings, being the oldest of six, and is very close to her extended family. All of the extended Gevins family knows hard work and poverty, and most find that leaning on each other is the best way to get through.
Immediate Family
Below is Rue's family. I gave them names, ages and some personality so that I'd have something to mention in Rue's posts. Rue and her siblings live with their aunt. Their mother died giving birth to the youngest, Priela, and their father died in an accident in the orchard.
Efrem Middle Name Gevins: Male, 10 years old. He's a pretty self-sufficient guy who tries to be the man of the house. He doesn't like being told he can't do something or that he's not good at something. He doesn't put up with Rue babying him at all and always wants to do things for himself.
Keisha Middle Name Gevins: Female, 8 years old. Twin of Kenara. Overall, she is bubbly, social and very curious.
Kenara Middle Name Gevins: Female, 8 years old. Twin of Keisha. Kenara is a solemn and quiet girl, but a hard worker. She takes life very seriously and doesn't really play like other children. She is most open with her twin, Keisha.
Tauren Middle Name Gevins: Male, 6 years old. Tauren still believes that everything in life is a game and is fun. Rue wants to protect that idea in him, so she looks out for him the most. Tauren doesn't see any consequences to his actions and often just acts on the first idea that comes into his head. He's an overall happy kid with an affinity for anything sweet.
Priela Middle Name Gevins: Female, 4 years old. Often takes to following a sibling around and doing what they do, usually choosing Tauren.
Extended Family
Want to be a different cousin, aunt or uncle instead? Seeing as Rue's immediate family is so large, it's logical that her extended family would be too! I am open to any extended relations, though keep in mind that they would most likely have dark skin.
Olivia Gevins: Female, age up to player. Aunt Olivia took the Gevins children in after both of their parents died. She is the sister of the children's mother, and has one child named Marigold, aged 14, who is close with Rue.
Maize ______: Maize is one of Rue's aunts, whether on her father or mother's side is up to the player. She's a bit emotional, and has at least three kids: Furrow, Field, and a third who'd younger than both of them. Field ______: Field is about 16, older brother to Furrow and child of Maize, and thus a cousin to Rue. He is mentioned in this thread as helping his sister after a public beating. **Reserved by Erin!**
Furrow ______: Furrow is about 14, is the child of Maize and sister to Field, and thus a cousin to Rue. In this thread, she was beaten by a Peacekeeper for stealing food to feed her younger sibling, who was sick. ** Reserved by Luna!**
