SUMMARY:
Lane lives in a breaking home. He has molded himself to fit the situation, and at the time, that means stepping up and taking responsibility. He's rather quiet around those he doesn't know and very focused on his home life, or, rather, trying to fix it. He comes out of a shell a little for those he loves. However, whatever shell he has completely disappears when he becomes angry. He can't contain any strong emotion to save his life. He cares too much about those he loves and has sat himself up to get hurt badly.
HISTORY
Lane is the oldest of the four siblings in the Reese family. He lived a very average life until he noticed his mother starting to deteriorate. He hadn't been the best in school, but he did try very hard. He shared it with no one, but he wished to work in the government instead of working on the family farm. His mother got sicker and his dad started spending less time at home. Work at the farm piled up and Lane thought it his responsibility to take care of it all. While his father is out and his mother isn't doing well, he takes something of a parental role for his 3 younger siblings. It was hardly the life Lane had imagined for himself. He is incredibly displeased with the course of things but sees no alternative, and he's not a complainer, anyways. He's very upset with his father for seeing another woman, upset with the woman for seeing his father, and upset with his sister Jessa for being so selfish when he can't be.
More than anything, Lane wants a normal life. He wants to be like his friends, happy and carefree, but he is weighted with all of the responsibility that he has come to acquire. As far as most everyone knows, Lane is happy and content. He doesn't discuss what he knows about his father's actions or his mother's sickness, which is an additional weight for him to bare.
