Marcella Tauri Callian
NICKNAMES: Ella AGE: 18 GENDER: Female RESIDENCE: District 2 OCCUPATION: Apprentice Doctor SPECIAL INFO: N/A FACE CLAIM: Genevieve Padalecki PLAYER ALIAS: Rebecca
Personality Marcella is a girl who is passionate. When she decides to do something, she dedicates her entire being to it. She does not give up easily, and nor is she entirely modest at those things in which she excels. Marcella cares deeply about her family, and would do almost anything for them.
Marcella isn't afraid to speak her mind or stand up for herself or others. This perhaps is a direct result of some of the luxuries afforded in her upbringing, though she would never admit to that. Although she has relied on other people - especially her father - to get her where she is, she is an independent girl. Few things are worth achieving if she can't get there with her own hard work.
History Marcella is the second child in the Callian family. Her early childhood was quite happy, with her father's status affording her and her family a good lifestyle. This lent Marcella to be both carefree and adventurous, feeling like there was no place in District 2 that she couldn't go.
War broke out, and initially, the changes were minimal. Marcella saw her father less, as he had missions and teams to lead. She had her siblings and mother, though, and plenty to keep her busy. Many kids who had parents fighting in the war were constantly worried about if their parents would make it back. Not Marcella - she always had every confidence that her father would return. He had promised her, and she'd never known him to break a promise.
When she was 14 though, that changed. Some rebel attack group burned the Callian house to the ground. Marcella wasn't at home at the time, but her mother and grandfather were. Her mother didn't survive the fire, and the loss hit the family hard. For the teenage girl, it felt like she'd been living in a fog before - and now everything was clear. Anyone could die, and she clung desperately to the family she had left.
Initially, Marcella thought that the answer to her mother's loss was to stop fighting, to save who could be saved and leave the war to the rest of the nation. She started to look into becoming a doctor, dedicating herself in school to get the grades to finish early. She begged her father not to return to fighting, to stay home with them, but he didn't listen. In fact, he seemed like an entirely different person. As the years passed and the war continued, she started to realize that it wasn't enough just to save lives. She had to be ready to protect them too.
At 16, Marcella started working a few nights a week in the hospital, her school load light in the wake of her hard work. On the nights she wasn't there, she trained in the fledgling Peacekeeper Academy - something mostly only allowed by the strings her father could pull to get her there. She had no desire to become a Peacekeeper like her older brother and father, but felt she needed the training all the same. She didn't want to be caught helpless by some rebel or used as a weak little hostage to get to her father, who was now quite powerful in those circles. She had some natural talent as a fighter - in fact, that came easier to her than her studies as a doctor. For that, she had to work tirelessly, often studying late into the night.
The war ended, and with it her schooling, but she continues to train both in the hospital and on the mat.
