The beeping randomly appeared once again in his head, and he didn't regret having it there. Harrison knew was it meant, so when he looked up, it wasn't a surprise to him or anyone what it was. Some food, actually enough to keep him quenched for food, was there and Harrison smiled. He took it, and ate the apples it bore slowly with pride and happiness. Maybe he didn't have to die, not right now. As he looked back to see if Raya had gotten the same luck, he saw her, right there, kiss him. The guy that made her a whip. And then, the worst part is that she walked away without even saying goodbye. She abandoned him without hesitation, and this made him mad.
He marched over to the boy, beginning to pant heavy breaths, trying not too get himself too angered. "Didn't anyone back in your shitty little District teach you to keep your paws off another man's girl? he questioned in a deep and angry voice. Honestly, he wasn't mad at the boy. He had to make it known to Raya that he was upset, but he didn't want to kill her. And the sign would be seeing this kid's face on the Anthem at night. He swung the machete at him, ready to make sure he didn't get out of there alive.

Cameron had gotten sliced by the boy after being yelled at to stay off of Raya. In all honesty he personally was just trying to give her something to defend herself with- but the boy from eight probably saw it as a flirt. Cameron had to laugh out loud. This guy was funny, if there was anything that Cameron learned while being in District Eleven was that life was unfair. "Oh, buddy.. All I ever learned was that love isn't true- and that life is unfair. So, no I haven't ever been taught that actually." The tribute said with a grin spreading a crossed his face. The tribute thought that the male from eight was just on his man-period, but whatever. Cameron would have to fight him in order to try and win this thing. Obviously, Cameron was pretty sure that he would die- though the chances of him killing the tribute from eight were quite equal as well. Taking his spear, the male swung at Harrison's leg. Somebody was going to die- and in Cameron's case, he won't. VXTQy_Vc3damage + two from spear

#headachepost I'll fix typos later if there are any.
Harrison stared blankly as the other boy made some bull shit remark that Harrison heard but could honestly care less about. His eyes winced in a bit of pain as he swung the weapon he had towards his leg. It made Mr. MAtrial hop on one foot for a second, trying to regain the balance he had earlier. As soon as it came back, or at least tried to, he shook his head at the boy. "When I get out of here, and hopefully when you do too, I hope you know you won't have a funn time!" he threatened the boy from eleven, accompanied by a dark and mysterious laugh. Harrison didn't exactly understand what was really coming over him, but deep down he couldn't hurt the guy. Like Mr. Martial, this guy just wanted to live and try not to die so early. The deaths from post-Bloodbath were scarce, and that was another reason why Harrison had to do this.
"For Raya.." he mumbled under his breath, trying to make sure the boy didn't here it. With the machete he got so smoothly at the Bloodbath. He swung at the boy's arm with his spear, specifically towards the wrist, but who even knows if he could actually get it there with his tears slowly gathering at his eye lids. Harrison was ready to continue bursting out into tears.
Umm sooooo he attacks Cam Cam with his Machete towards the WEAPON ARM, and if specifics are wanted WEAPON FOREARM.

The boy growled at the tribute from eight as his arm got cut and blood started to bleed out. Listening to the fake words that flew out of the boys mough. "Yeah, like I am going to belie've that shit." Cameron's voice shot back, cold as ice. Taking the spear in his hand, the male from eleven swung at the tributes left leg again, trying to prevent any attempt at escape. Of course, Cameron wasn't just about to give up and accept death now. He was going to fight. And fight he will.

The boy from eight seemed to have no apparent reaction to his latest attack, and since he decided spending time on the tribute's leg wouldn't help him win- Cameron had decided it would be better to go for his opposite arm. Why not go for the arm he's using? Because what if in a later fight the tribute he fought cut off his arm? That meant that Harrison, or whatever his name was wouldn't be able to use his other arm. Cameron's logic usually confused others, but it worked normally. As the male struck at the other tribute's arm, he started to wonder what his family thought of him right now. Fighting, willing to kill someone in order to live longer. The male didn't really care if he was going to die, but he preferred not this early. Why? Because he wanted to prove to the capitol that people from eleven weren't just pawns, they could get just as far as anyone else can. The tribute remembered that the two tributes from his district last year got killed in the bloodbath, kind of like tribute fodder. He didn't like the thought of his district being useless. Nobody really thought that their tributes would get far. Well, his goal was to prove them wrong. 5xzjdHVb3damage (+2 from Spear)

His head ached too hard for him to concentrate on actually trying to hurt the kid, and as a result the spear stabbed into his body like no tomorrow. He shook his head, trying to make the boy from Eleven stop. Harrison couldn't die, not like this. "Stop.. now.." he said with a whimper, taking a few steps back from the spear. The boy was a nuisance once again, this time not stabbing into his leg, but towards the machete. "Raya!" he screamed in a loud voice for the girl, hoping she'd listen to his call and be nice enough to come and help him. He kept screaming her name, taking more and more steps back from the spear, running as fast as he could, dragging his hurt leg behind him. "Just get away from me!" he shrieked towards the boy, hoping he'd just leave Mr. Martial to go and try to find where Raya was going.
The buzzing came back into his ear as he kept running, but this time much louder and more upset. He looked up to the sky, seeing nothing of any help to him, so he knew this time it was real. The ear-splitting noise followed him in his path as he tried to limp away from the scene of the crime.

Cameron had to laugh at the poor attempt the male from eight had taken, but he screamed out the one girl's name. Cameron couldn't have another person on him. Of course, as the girl trusted the boy from eight more, he'd get more help. But Cameron didn't really have to mind that at all. As the male started to swing again at the male from eight's left arm, he was starting to form a plan. Attack a body part twice, and then move onto another. It'd do at least some damage at most, but probably not kill-worthy. After swinging, the male grinned. The girl wasn't anywhere in sight, which means she probably didn't hear him. "Where's your knight in shining armor now?" Cameron had said, raising an eyebrow at the male in a teasing manner. He didn't care if the girl heard him, or what the male a crossed from him thought of the comment. All Cameron wanted, was to live. And to live, he would have to fight. Fight like he is being forced to. Oh wait, he is. 4UsQdkM43damage +2 (js i posted with basil so i copied and reposted, original post was THREE damage so please take that much )

Raya ran into the forest quickly, feeling twigs snap back at her and leaving small scars on her face. She didn't think of her surroundings. She just had to get to Harrison. She didn't think about the tiredness she had just minutes ago, or how her legs were hurting from running so fast in so little time. With the whip in her hand, Raya felt like she was moving as fast as the wind. She was always a quick girl, and it was easy to run with her short stature and small body frame. But as she ran, someone from the corner of her eye started running towards her. Before the dark-haired girl could stop, the tribute tackled her to the ground. No, Raya thought, This can't be it. Raya was always a strong girl, especially with the amount of agility and endurance she had to use back in District 8. The tribute was lightweight, and though Raya didn't want to hurt anyone, she knew she had to. Raya kicked the girl off of her, got up, and ran towards her with her whip. Instead of coming at her from the middle, she came at her from the side and wrapped her whip around her neck.
"I'm sorry, but this is your fault!" Raya screamed at the girl as the whip wrapped around her neck. She tried to struggle out of it, but Raya's grasp on it was too strong and her skill was too great. Every second the girl was getting weaker. She then went limp, but she wasn't sure if she was faking. So she held her whip around her neck a couple seconds longer and dropped the girl and the whip to the ground. She untied the whip around her neck as the front of her body laid on the ground. Raya felt something inside of her, but she didn't know what it was. It was the same feeling she had when she killed Thomas as much as she remembered. Heartbreaking? Greatfulness? Anger? Sadness? Without a scratch on Raya's body except the small ones the trees made when they snapped back at her earlier, the dark-haired girl went solemn. Raya didn't cry, but she felt pained. That was what the emotion was. Pain.
She heard the cannon sound, but this girl did not have a proper death. The seventeen-year-old killer turned the girl over, seeing her eyes were still open and her lips slightly parted. Raya closed the girl's eyes for her, not giving a care in the world if anyone saw her. She needed to pay her respects. Raya saw that nothing was on the girl, but that didn't matter. She probably went crazy and tried to attack her, thinking she had a chance without a weapon. Oh, Shenandoah, I long to hear you, " Raya started to sing to the girl. She head learned a song from her mother, who used to sing it to her every night before she went to bed. And when her parents died and she was adopted by Thomas, she would sing the song to make her feel better. Away, you rolling river. Oh, Shenandoah, I long to hear you, Away, I'm bound away, cross the wide silent land." she sang to the girl and kissed her forehead. But she knew that she had to keep moving. Sighing, she had to keep running before the hovercraft came and took the girl.
She then heard talking, and Raya made her way over there. Two boys, from a distance, were fighting it out. Cameron and Harrison? No, it couldn't be. Instead of running, she walked quickly to make sure her eyes weren't tricking her. And surely they weren't. They were going at each other, fighting with their machete and sword. "No," the girl said, shocked at what she was seeing. On the left, she saw Cameron. He had a desire in his eye to live, to make it through the fight. He seemed to be defending himself. She then looked at Harrison, who had a look in his eye that she didn't see before. She had seen the look in girl back at Thomas' home. Madness. He changed since she was gone. Standing back on the tree bark, she just watched them, not wanting to attack either of them. One was a man who helped her, and the other was her lover who wasn't the same person. She didn't know what she was going to do, and after she killed that girl, she didn't know what was going to happen to her.

Post by Matthias Jensen on Dec 7, 2014 9:50:53 GMT -7
Matthias ran away from the creature as fast as he could while trying to help Basil run. He had taken back the tarp and stuffed it in his suit again, holding her boot in one hand. Both of them had to get far away from that thing in the tree as possible, because how could they really fight it? Matthias had what, a tarp? His fists? From the few times he had actually been in a physical fight, things hadn't gone so well for him. His best chance of living was running, and then finding some place to hide. He knew he could hide anywhere, as long as they outran the strange creature first.
"Don't, let's just run!" he shouted at Basil, when she ran back the other way. He hesitated to follow, hoping his call would just bring her back. It didn't, and she disappeared back into the greenery. He realized she hadn't taken anything with her, that the machete was still back in the tree. He started to run back for her, and heard another roar. "Basil!" he yelled. He moved toward where she had gone, but suddenly the forest around him was a maze. Frantic and afraid, he couldn't find out how to get back to her or away from the creature or anywhere. He kept running and calling out her name.
How could he be so stupid? Why hadn't he run back after her right away, made sure they stuck together? He was a terrible ally, he knew that now. The creature would surely get her, kill her, and it would be all Matthias Jensen's fault. If he survived this arena, which was unlikely, he would have to live with that the rest of his life. Even living with it for minutes, hours, days - that would be excruciating. He was angry at himself, at this Games, at the creature who came to ruin it all.
"Basil!" he called out again. And again. His mind was so overwhelmed with looking for her and getting away from the creature that he didn't see or hear the other three tributes until he was practically on top of them. He broke through to stand in front of them and stopped immediately. One of the three was thankfully Harrison, the boy he liked from District 8, and he at least recognized the other two. But weapons were out between the two boys, and that couldn't bode well for Matthias or his partner. "We have to run! Something...something's after us!" He didn't move though, because if he kept running and they didn't believe him, that could be the end of Matthias right there. And, after that, maybe Basil if she caught up with him or if Matthias wasn't there to save her from the creature. So he glanced over his shoulder and then back at them, eager to keep running but waiting for them to make the next move.

I had been running, and running, and running like no tomorrow. I don't want to die. I don't even care if the little beast isn't nearby me. I just want to run. Though, I stop. Panting, gasping, catching my breath I look around. I look around for Matthias. The only person that I trust, I don't know where he is. How stupid am I? I let out a soft chuckle, I look around a bit, and I see a bush that contains berries. I don't care anymore, honestly, I take a berry in my hand and start chewing it. My mind wanders, and I look around. Though my eyes land on something that almost causes me to choke. Matthias. My mind immediately thought. Even though it was just the back of someone, I had to hope it was him. I started to walk forward hesitantly, almost as if it were another tribute, I was going to run. I just had to hope in my inner soul that it was him. I tap his shoulder, and speak his name softly. "Matthias?" fVUtkEwG1skill plant identification lawl

Bloody hell.. his mind screamed at him in a devilish voice as the spear jabbed into his arm again, almost making him drop the machete, his only way of defending himself. Harrison looked behind him and saw people, real live people, but not only Cameron. There was Raya, and two other people, who were both small. The girl was blonde, but the boy was the kid he saw in the garden. What was his name.. Matthew? Matthias? Mateo? Wait, no it was Matthias. He stared at the boy, no older than fourteen, as he spoke. Matthias said something about someone being after them. Mr. Martial took advantage of the distraction and continued to run, twisting and turning, trying to get away from the boy with the spear. All he could hear was the sound of his foot, and then other one right after, stepping on crusty leaves and branches. The buzzing came back, on and off, but when he looked in front of him, there was a box. Another one. He grabbed it with one hand, ignoring the fact that people were behind him, possibly ready to kill him.
As he sprinted across the fallen branches and fragile green leaves, he opened the box, seeing some kind of pink bottle of liquid. He examined it as he ran, but there was something weird about it. Why would there be drinkable things that were pink. He'd seen some of these vials in the Capitol, but he thought they they were just for display. Harrison drank it as he ran, so he could get his hopefully daily dose of water for the day. He drank it as if it was a normal substance, and he was pretty sure that was what went on. He heard the running around behind him, and the liquid had to have done something to help him, in any kind of way. He crept back to the point where the others were, not really knowing what exactly had happened.
WC: 331 HP: 6/23 :c Actions: Gets that pretty sponsor, and he drinks it. Usage on Raya and Cam because why nawt have them fight over Harrison?

Raya held her ears. "Stop," she whispered, her body shaking. "Stop fighting, stop fighting, stop fighting, STOP FIGHTING!" Her words grew from a whisper and built up towards a yell. There was absolutely no point in them fighting. Neither of them had a reason to be fighting each other. The real enemy was in the Cornucopia. The Careers. She wondered if anyone tried to fight them yet, but she doubted it. They were too strong and most of the other tributes were too small.
The girl held her head. The drums beat louder and louder. She didn't want to die. She didn't want anyone to die. Raya felt the need to cry, but no tears came out nor did sadness. Her head was consumed with the drums. She closed her eyes and breathed. The brown-haired girl needed to stay sane, despite her madness that she had in the three years prior. She had to keep the drums and the shakes under control. Harrison might have gone crazy or hated her, but that didn't mean that she had to. Raya loved him more than anyone, and she wondered if he believed it. She was just so against violence and death that she couldn't fight someone who helped her or fight someone who was nothing but innocent.
But she heard a noise in the woods. Talking. No, that couldn't happen. People. More people. She didn't need more people to come and hurt her or come and hurt her friend and lover. But maybe Harrison would escape. Maybe she didn't have to watch him die. But if she died tonight, and her face appeared on screen, maybe he would become sane again. The girl tried to run up the tree to mask herself in the midst of fighting.

The boy from eleven felt as if a sudden weight had been lifted off of his shoulder, Cameron didn't know why, but he suddenly felt like not attacking the boy. It was weird. The tribute had to let out a chuckle, how mad the capitol must be right now that the battle just randomly stopped. He felt foolish, why did he even attack the tribute? Of course the male in front of him had attacked Cameron first, but, that didn't mean that he had to attack back right? He saw the girl he had given a whip to climbing up a tree, he grinned. Not in a devilish way, he wasn't in the mood for killing for some odd reason. He wanted to join her, but obviously as she saw him fighting, he decided it wasn't a good idea. Finding his own tree, he climbed up it. Taking one of the leaves in his hand, he decided to eat it. Cameron was pretty bored with himself, and started to carve into the wood of the tree. |258AlUh5skill (Plant Identification) 5skill (Climbing)

They run from me and I laugh. Or at least, Terry laughs in my head. The sound that escapes my own mouth does not resemble a human laugh. It is guttural and loud, and I know it will only further their fear. I want them afraid, and am eager to taste them because I am hungry, but I do not need to run just yet. I am free now, and I want to take my time. This forest seems to have plenty of space to play out this Game. The two humans scurry down the tree and I glide along the branches after them. They run, and I follow. The girl is not so fast, and I am nearly upon her when she takes off again. Not so eager, Terry reminds me. She is slow, but the boy would be more of a challenge. So I just follow the boy, moving swiftly among the trees. But he takes me to a group of the humans. Terry counts them in my head for me. Five of them. Five is a lot. I do not wish to die so quickly after my escape when these humans attack me all at once. One runs away, and I make to follow, but he returns to the group quickly. So I stay back, but let out a mighty roar to let all of them know that I am there. That I am waiting. Should one decide to wander away from the group, there'll I'll be.

Damn, I'm on some kinda drug.
Harrison couldn't exactly describe the feeling of the pink liquid. It felt nice and soothing on his skin, but when he looked at the boy who attacked him, he seemed uninterested in him. Mr. Martial couldn't say he minded it, as it was one less person that could put him in danger. As his arm and leg ached from all the swings the boy gave him, he decided to stay calm. Harrison couldn't do anything but stare at the two smaller people with them. Harrison smiled at the boy before another spike of pain hit him all over. It hurt more than anything the tribute had felt, ever. He spoke aloud, in words of pain, "Damn.." he tried not to seem too vulnerable, especially to the two that seemed to ignore him now, Raya and Cameron.
Harrison went down onto his first knee, which was his better one. This took a lot of the pain away when he pushed himself back with his good arm. His back was gently propped up against the nearest tree. He mouthed the words help me to Raya, who was up in a tree. He watched both her and Cameron climb up them, trying to get away from whatever is after them. Harrison quickly closed his eyes, trying to get some peace before the others decided to kill again. Mr. Martial's eyes were closed in an instant, and Harrison started to dream.
He was back in his homeland, curled up into a little ball in an alley. It is cold and dark in the dream, almost as if Harrison had all the senses he has when he is actually awake. The breeze that was quick and frigid made the hairs on his arm pop up into a straight line. His head turned, and there he saw his brother, Bane. Along with the other seven of them. Mom and Papa weren't there, which was both scared and confusing. Were they dead in his dream? Are they dead? he questioned what was actually happening in District Eight right now, if he was somehow there. Maybe his dream was what he would have gone through if he didn't volunteer, to help Raya. To save her. He blinked twice as it began to rain violently out of nowhere. He couldn't exactly tell if it was real or not, but he felt it. The liquid wasn't rain at all, it was some kind of toxin liquid. Harrison got it all over his arms, the only places still exposed. Bane, Cres, Phax, Cynn, Blaze, and Hathaway were all experiencing the same pain Harrison was, but the his other brother seemed unresponsive. Markus. Harrison's eyes widened immediately to see what was wrong with his brother, and what he was scarred his heart rather more than all the toxin would. His eye sockets pulled down so far. His arms with dark black bubbles on them, all over. Markus was laying down, quiet as ever. "Is he..?" Harrison couldn't finish what he was going to ask. The pain was too heartbreaking already. Markus was dead, and the eyes of his brothers showed it clearly.
"Harrison.. Bane began in a slow and quiet voice, like Mr. Martial was a child. "They're coming, and none of us are gonna live if you keep talking. I advise you to shut your little trap if you wanna live," he was dark and angry at Harrison. Before the teenager could ask who was coming, he heard the sound of gunshots every which way. The toxic liquid continued to drip-drop from the two surrounding buildings. He saw the darkness turn into moonlight at the beginning of the alley, and what he saw hurt. Bodies after bodies, trying to get somewhere to hide. The bodies looked to be ranged in all ages, genders, ethnicity, and where they were killed. Some shot in the head, others vital organs. Some were shot in multiple places, such as the arms, legs, and stomach. The worst part of seeing all this was the blood. It looked like the ground was all red, quickly painted without much hesitation. Harrison's eyes looked as terrible as dead o' Markus's when he looked back at his other brothers, all older. They stared in disgust just as Harrison did. Some, like Bane, had an angry look on their face. The other half just wanted to live to see another day. Sadly, that wasn't allowed on the Peace Keeper schedule. If they had to wipe out all District Eight with Snow's consent, they'd do it without hesitation. That included Harrison and his band of brothers.
After minutes seemed like hours, he saw live people marching across in front of the alley, making sure not to step on any dead corpse. They did not have Peace Keeper uniforms on, but they sure did have Peace Keeper guns and whips, along with batons in the pockets. Harrison looked at them as if real people, but they weren't. Lets just keep that hush hush until Harrison finds out.
Bane was the first one to moan out, "Help us.." The other brothers were asleep or dead, but either way unresponsive. The liquid continued to splash upon Harrison and Bane until the people carried them out and put them into a clinic. When there, automatically three of his siblings were announced dead. The others who were unresponsive in critical condition. Both Harrison and Bane needed some treatments, but it wasn't as bad as his siblings. They could walk, talk, and tell stories to each other while the others might be deaf, blind, dying, or ill for eternity. District Eight never had the tools or supplies to help people in times of need. It was a long time for him to watch slowly as they announced more and more dead. All that was left of the Martials were Bane and Harrison, who didn't seem too well. A roar was what feared them the most. Bane grabbed Mr. Martial's hand tightly, refusing to let go. "Harri-", before he could finish, the dream was over and he woke up.
Harrison woke up with a shriek. It seemed to be as if nobody moved throughout the dream, as if they were absolutely motionless. Could dreams be that quick? It didn't matter, because an imitation roar was made right as he woke up. That was sure a rude awakening, but Harrison wasn't complaining. At least they did not kill him during his dark slumber. "What was that?" he managed to call out, a bit scared.

Matthias jumped when he felt a hand tap his shoulder. Turning, he smiled when he found that it was Basil. "Basil. I'm sorry," he said quickly. "I should have stayed with you." He was so glad to see that she was alive and unharmed though, as far as he could tell. He might have said more, except he heard a roar behind them. Jumping again, he searched the woods until he saw the creature that had chased them out of the tree. It wasn't running though, but rather watching them, keeping a safe distance. That was strange.
Suddenly it was raining sponsor presents. One floated over to Harrison, who grabbed it and ran off. The other two tributes climbed a tree, perhaps afraid of what these gifts might bring? One of the packages floated to Basil, and yet another rather large parcel came to him. Reaching out his arms, he accepted the new gift. Receiving this took away a bit of the sting he felt when the other tributes completely ignoring his warning - and him, really. He had to remember that what they thought of him, of his warning, didn't matter. What did matter was Basil, all the people helping him, and making it out alive.
The boy looked at the other tributes, back at Basil, and then to the bundle of sponsor gifts in his arms. He wanted to inspect the new gift, but wasn't sure it was the best idea yet to show the other tributes what he had. He was struggling, trying to figure out what to do next. He didn't want to hurt anyone, and yet he didn't want to die because of that either. They weren't attacking him now, were in fact ignoring him it seemed, but how long would that last? For more reasons than he had when first he entered the arena, Matthias wanted to live. He wanted to survive.
There was not much he could do though. They had real weapons, and were bigger and stronger than both he and his ally. Matthias did have a knife now, which he saw easily in the bundle of new gifts he held. It was shiny, sharp and a little frightening. That might help, but he couldn't imagine plunging it into a fellow tribute's side, especially when no one was attacking yet. He needed to do something though, to keep himself busy and take his mind off the other tributes. Anything.
Setting his bundle of gifts on the ground, specifically lying the package knife-side down to conceal the weapon, the boy began to pick up sticks around the copse of trees they were in. He made sure to pick the drier ones, as the bigger pieces of wood were still slightly damp from the rain. Two of them he set aside, and the rest he piled up, occasionally glancing at position of the other tributes as he did. Even though he could hear them with his new ears, his natural instinct was to visually check everything around him. It was just in case someone decided they were no longer shy about trying to kill him. His eyes were still the more reliable sense, as his ears had already betrayed him a couple of times in this arena.
Once he had a decent pile going, Matthias stuffed dry leaves under and at the edge of it. Of the two sticks he had set aside, one had a broken spot which exposed the wood underneath, and the other was long and mostly straight. Grabbing a few of the dry leaves, he stuffed them on the exposed wood and started twirling the other stick on top of it. Matthias had never actually started a fire this way himself, but he had seen it in the training center. He observed almost as much as he participated. He had also seen it done in the Games before, watching every year as they all were made to. But mostly, he had seen it at home. One of his brothers or father often did it at night, lighting the cook fire with wood or flint when the family couldn't afford matches. It happened often enough.
Matthias was never as strong as his brothers, and the men in his family always made him stay back from what they considered dangerous. Fire was one of those many things. But he hoped that now, his memory might serve him well enough to get a fire going. The whole process was taking quite a while, but it was good to keep himself occupied.
