Area 2 || Petting Zoo

seriously i'm not gonna try.
The petting zoo, not that much about it. Obviously, since there are animals the area smells bad and needs some cleaning. The ground is scattered with hay, grass, and hay bales. There following animals are there;

2 Goats,
5 Rabbits,
3 Chickens,
2 Calfs (Baby Cows),
and 3 Horses

They seem harmless, but most tributes that have thought about it knows well enough that they would rip your face apart. Though, the animals are most likely mutts ready to pounce, the area seems like a good camp. You could possibly stuff your items inside hay bales to hide them from other tributes in case they were to go looking for tributes or food and a tribute came to the area so the tribute wouldn't get all the goodies.

Serena ran and ran as hard as she could, her face tear streaked. She had seen someone die, and it was awful. She had seen a friend kill someone. And that had been even worse. Her face was silver with tears in the moonlight. After she ran long enough to not remember the direction back to the Ferris wheel she stopped and looked around. There were animals. Cute adorable fluffy animals. This place was full of them, and was made for Serena.

She looked around and saw two goats, rabbits, chickens, and cows. She knew not to go into any of the cages because they could be like that floating eight legged thingy which attacked the boy who ambrosia killed. Ambrosia killed.

Serena sits down in an empty pen with nice Hay to warm her up. She buries herself in the hay, still crying. Then she heard the stupid panem anthem start playing. She heard it start and looked up. She heard it come out of the tv every year. She was used to it an knew what it meant. She looked up and started seeing meaningless faces pass before her eyes. She hated it. She hated that people died.

Then a face caught her attention. District Twelve. Sam had died. The girl who Serena said to herself she would help along with Ambrosia and Torr and Lex, dead. At the end she saw the face of the boy who Ambrosia killed and shuddered. Her friend had killed.

Serena failed to climb.

Though she started off well, Serena felt herself slide back down the stall wall onto the soft hay. She groaned, and a moment later felt the knife of the evil mutt cut into her again. She HAD to get away, she just had to! If she could get away from the colorful beast, maybe she could think of something. Maybe she could just hide until the games were over and no one could find her. The people pulling on the puppet strings would just forget about her and they would take all the monsters away. Then, she could curl up in the hay and play with all the animals. She could live in this place forever and no one would ever bother her. Ever.

But this stupid evil clown was going to stop her from happily-ever-after, and she just had to get away from him. The evil clowns had come after her before, had chased her and laughed, but she had always gotten away. She had found places where they couldn't find her, where she was safe. Before she came to this awful place, she had been in another awful place where the faeries had made her pretend to kill things with the knives while they smiled and said good job. There had been things that weren't there to kill and other dolls killing other things that weren't there, but here was different.

There was light on top of the stalls, shining and happy, and Serena had to get up to it. Serena again tries to climb the stall wall.

Serena had gotten there, she had reached the light and gotten away from the clown. She smiled and stopped for a moment, then heard the sound of hay moving behind her. The monster wasn't going to give up on her just yet. It didn't want to leave her alone because the ones holding the puppet strings and playing the games didn't want her to make it out of this place.

Serena walked carefully along the stall walls, humming softly to herself a tuneless song. She passed stalls with animals who looked up at her, seeming to want her to jump down and play with them. She wanted to reach down and pet all the pretty puppets, but she didn't think they would help her now. They would probably try to kill her too. There was always something trying to kill her.

Several stalls down she reached the end of the set at the front of the barn. Serena glanced back to see that the clown had made it to the top of the stalls and was following her now. She looked back in front of her and made a small scream as she jumped down into the hay below. It was soft and it caught her, but the evil clown would be there soon. The girl stood up and looked around for a hiding spot. The best thing nearby was an upturned feeding trough. She scurried over to it, keeping low, and ducked under it.

Action: Serena tries to hide under upturned feeding trough.

Huddled under the trough, Serena heard the clown squeek squeek squeeking around. It wasn't far from her, looking around so that it could to tear her into shreds. Maybe if she hid here forever, it would go away. The trough would keep her nice and warm. It was pretty under here, and dark. Maybe no one would ever find her and she could build her own little home under the trough. There were lots of nice animals outside to be her friends, as long as she didn't get too close.

She waited for a while, singing an old song in her head. Serena couldn't remember where it came from, but it kept her calm with all of the squeeking going on out there. She wished she were still with her friends. But one of her friends had killed...and died. Died. She didn't want to dieNo, don't think about it. Torrence was still out there somewhere.

It still wouldn't stop, the sqeeking. If she stayed anyway, Serena was sure that she would go insane. Then there would be nothing to stop the faeires from taking her back and doing whatever they wanted with her. Carefully, the 15-year-old peeked around the trough to try and spot the clown. She could just see the edge of its giant red shoe and a bit of its back, pointed away from her. It was now or never - she had to get away from the evil clown. She crawled carefully out from under the trough. Once clear of it, she sprinted quietly and quickly toward the exit.

Action: Serena tries to sneak out of the petting zoo. If successful, she has left the area and is heading toward the ferris wheel.

Serena hadn't gotten far when she heard that squeeking again, coming for her. Again. That sound! It was small and slow but it pounded in her brain like tiny little needles pricking their way in. She turned around, even though she was so close to getting away, and saw it staring at her. Coming closer. Squeek. Squeek. Squeeking. The other clowns she had met before, the evil ones with their grins and claw hands, they had nothing on this one. This one would torment the other clowns to death and just keep going.

Even though it had found her, she wasn't going to stick around. Creating her own home under the trough was far out of the question now, though it had sounded so lovely before. Peaceful, even if she had animal friends she couldn't ever touch and faeries to hide from. But she couldn't do that with the clown squeeking around her. Especially because it would be a little hard to hide from him now, out in the open like she was. Serena groaned and turned around again.

It didn't matter if it followed her now. She just had to get OUT! Maybe Torrence was still at the carousel...

Lucas walked slowly, his feet threading the ground as softly as he could possible. Finally he reached a wooden building that looked to be empty. There were bales of hay all around and it looked unclean and unkept.
"sahalie," he said chancing a whisper. He waited for a few moments but there was no response from inside. He decided that she probably was not in there and since she did not respond, he decided it was a good idea to continue on elsewhere. Lucas pulled out his ax from his belt loop and held it close. Hoping that he would be ready should something attack him. He looked around, making sure that he was still alone and not being followed as he crouched down and continued to stalk along the dirt ground. This time, he wanted to be sneakier just in case someone was around. At least he would have some chance of avoiding any unnecessary persons he might happen to chance across. Lucas's heart hammered against his chest as he stalked slowly.
